The NYRMB is filled with people who are no longer successful in radio, and they take shots at current hosts.
I picked a random book from 1976 and found WPAT, WPAT FM and WRFM all in the top 10.
Please provide a link to that book. Maybe top 10 among FM stations when FM was not yet much of a factor.
I have to agree. It's has beens and never beens. I find it distasteful for anyone who is still in the business to comment on that board and I think shows an ego driven need on their part.

For whatever reason, the pros latched onto the other board and -- partly out of habit I believe -- they're still there. Also I'll bet Alan treats the pros very nicely.

Again, how is that different from any other board? (Including this one?)

Most boards don't have former professionals posting, and these people get special treatment by the moderator on NYRMB.
An attempt to check the other board this morning redirected me to the Format Change archive. Looks like that board is gone
EDIT: Wait never mind. It's there. I checked it a couple of times and got the same result. Maybe it was just down
The other day someone posted on that other board a news item about someone jumping from a radio tower in New Jersey. Many other radio news locations, including All Access, had the story on their website. Having the people skills of a mass murderer, Glickman or Gluckman or whatever his name is, responded with the likes of "keep this tabloid c*** off of this website".
Geez...I don't know why anyone would want to go to such a hostile place.
