Theirs one political party that I cannot stand is Bloc Quebecois. What is the purpose of Bloc besides separating Quebec from Canada?

None of my business, but given that my family background is Canadian (and the fact that I'm in Canada 2-3 times a year on business), I'm always interested. But what's always fascinated me about the Bloc is when their members are elected to parliament, don't they have to take an oath of office that swears allegiance to a country they'd like to see broken up?

Well, yes, they do take the oath, as Canada also honors and respects Quebec as a "distinct society".

I've been seeing Aero bars here at supermarkets in Florida -- in the British foods section.

Generally, every time I visit Canada, I always make a point to buy plenty of Canadian candy bars for the folks back home -- they seem to have better candy than the American brands.

but I also like knowing weather alerts for Buffalo and area long before I decide to travel there. I like my tv letting me know.

And I guess you prefer your weather in FAHRENHEIT temperatures rather than Celsius!

Do any US border stations give any temperatures in Fahrenheit and Celsius? I know that on the Canadian side, CFTO in Toronto and CFCF in Montreal do.

Well, yes, they do take the oath, as Canada also honors and respects Quebec as a "distinct society".

Just as fascinating is the fact that the BQ is voted on in Quebec only, while all other parties are nationwide. In other words, if a BQ candidate becomes Prime Minister and their MPs dominate Parliament, it would be that the Quebec people exclusively put them there, not the country as a whole.

You can occasionally find Aero bars in the U.S.  But I've only seen the plain chocolate....not the mint flavored or the orange, which are also very good.  I think they're made by Nestle or one of the other big conglomerates.  Now if our neighbors to the north would only share some of their Creemore Springs lager or Balderson's aged cheddar with us!  ;D

As for the temperature, I'm sure some of the U.S. border stations give the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius.  Can't recall any specific examples however. Most Canadian stations that I've heard usually are pretty much exclusively in Celsius, but will give the temperature in Fahrenheit from time to time.  Fahrenheit is less commonly given in the UK, but you will hear it every now and then.

Sure! This guy also bought a small brewery in Wisconsin (Huber), and is turning out some fairly decent suds (mostly private label). But if there's no Creemore Springs around, I'll also gladly settle for a Keith's or even a Molson Ex.

As for his business model.... Your beer prices aren't cheap (but then again, you have better beer). However, I've noticed at the LCBO, quite a few European brews are cheaper than here in the U.S. In some cases, by as much as 40% cheaper.

Sorry for the veer off topic, but let's face it... Beer is preferable than politicians....in either side of the border!

Why do they have a 99 cent menu while we get stuck with the $1.39 menu...even though our dollar in Canada is now worth more than the American dollar!

Totally off topic, but we have to pay 99 pence an item for the budget menu at McDs, which is about 1 dollar 60 cents at current exchange.....

Molson Ex is no longer available. (I'm sure it's temporary)
Molson is no longer Canadian. The company was sold, and it's Molson/Coors product line now (or something like that...) and it SHOULD be more readily available in Western New York at various stores.

CTV chose to go Cross platform!!!!

Are they doing french coverage on RDS? Why not? All their other channels are doing English language coverage!
