I didn't say a government solution was the best course for the healthcare issue, but as the GOP doesn't seem to want to do anything at all about solving this problem (and didn't during the 8 years George W. Bush was President when they controlled Congress), it's what we have, for now - a government solution that isn't totally government run as the commercial health insurers will be the providers, so it isn't as Socialistic as Obama and the Democrats would have wanted, as in the Single Payer System that Canada and England have.
Frankly, I believe the GOP will do some serious "House and Senate" cleaning come this November allowing the GOP to follow up on my next statement. This would be where the Rush Rebuttal program could be useful, as it would be great to hear a conservative talk host say, sure let's have healthcare for those who need it, because we conservatives are compassionate and do care about the little guy who's out there working his arse off at a job, but still can't get health insurance for his family. So right here on the Rush Rebuttal Show we're going to tell you all how we conservatives can make a "market driven" version work for everyone, including those with pre-existing conditions, etc, that won't bankrupt our nation and put us further in debt to the Chi-comms (a Rush ism for Red China).
Now that would be a great alternative to the same ole same ole ranting and raving that Beck/Rush/Hannity offer each day on their conservative talk shows, in my opinion. Instead of their constant whining about the Democrats and Obamacare and creeping Socialism, why not use their talk shows to discuss their conservative market driven solutions. Create via the radio some excitement about fixing what Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have done, yet still giving those hard working folks who'd like to have health insurance to be able to have it. You never know, maybe that sort of conservative radio talk show might win over some moderate Democrats and Independents who want folks to be able to have health insurance, but really don't want the government running it.
My intent is not trying to get us into a political discussion here, I'm trying to show how a conservative radio talk show, could "evangelize" some folks who want health insurance for all, but don't, at this point, believe the GOP is capable of setting up a system so that they could get health insurance and have settled for what Obama and the gang have offered. A more positive approach to doing a talk show.
In other words, the next phase of talk radio, Rush and is ilk are old school now. It doesn't take a PhD to write Rush/Beck/Hannity's monologues as they're so predictable. It definitely is NOT compelling radio anymore. It's time for the next big thing in talk radio. So if conservatives don't come up with that next big thing for talk radio, the lib's might and then you'll be complaining how it's so hard to find conservative talk on the radio as it will then become a thing of radio's past, like live big band remotes and radio dramas.
