UHHHHHHHHHH Star And Buc WIld arent on KTU but your point holds water. The answer is they wouldnt flip KTU it was just wishful thinking of a rock radio fan.

Let's move on.

Why not? At this point, SOMEBODY's GOTTA PICK UP THE BALL FOR THE OLDIES IN NEW YORK RADIO, PERIOD!!

God no...

I don't want our country to be like England...

OFCOM (their FCC) regulates formats...so what do you get?

60% of the licenced stations over there are some form of adult contemporary...ack!

If you want rock, the only two stations that are worth their salt are Kerrang! (limited HD radio capability across England), or Xfm (ditto)

So, be fortunate that we live in a country where the formats are determined by who's listening, not by what politician you bribed...

little boring for my taste then again it's classic rock. What else would you expect?.

Wishful thinking...
WXRK - FM Talk
WPLJ - Stay as is
WNEW - Stay as is
WKTU - Dance 75% Current, 20% recurrent, 5% Classic, but focus on new music first.
WHTZ - Stay as is
WLTW - Stay as is
WCBS - Return to oldies
WQHT - Hip Hop
Power 105 (Whatever their calls are) - Alternative (20% classic, 20% recurrents, 20% Synth Pop/modern dance, 35% Current Alternative, 5% European)
Q104.3 - Stay as is

Opinion....thats fine. I happen to LOVE classic rock and Q104 does a great job for those of us who like it. Seems more and more people are tuning in with their rising ratings, and continous rising with XRK flipping.

Sure but you cant say "you have Q1043, they are clearly no substitute for krock given that they are classic rock and Krock while playing a decent amount of library material still plays furrents. Now there is nowhere in NYC to hear current rock, period.
