THE TICKET AUDIO

Listening to the AM on 1310 the audio is obviously "gated" and when there is dead space it is clean, when anyone speaks there is noise accompanying the audio. Interestingly on 104.1 FM the noise is not there. Surely someone else is hearing this?!!

Yes, the differance is night and day AM & AM designed processing, and FM & FM processing. BTW, why listen to AM if you can get the program on FM? AM is hard on the ears.

Depending where you are up here in big sky country the AM signal comes in better, especially if you are east of the Metro Mess. I want the signal back on 1700 too.

I'm east and 104.1 comes in handy at night, 1310 barely makes it since they null in my direction and 1700 was just far enough away for the groundwave and skywave to cancel the signal. I've heard the 1700 in Minnesota at night, loud and clear.

I honestly think the AM sounds much better, but I'm judging this on my car radio since that's where I do 99% of my Ticketing.
