It looks like NBC has been hyping this new show from Ms. Cummings, and they're milking her in more ways than one. If anything, she could be this year's "30 Rock," but I doubt she'll save the Thursday Night lineup.

I find laugh-tracks really intrusive, and it's worse now because most of the comedy shows I like don't have them. They made a point of announcing that the show is taped before a studio audience, but I'd bet $5 that they "sweeten" those live responses considerably.
