OK, buddy. Down.

Now, I'm not a radio insider like many on this board. I am Just A Lissner like you. But let's pull it together a little here. I do like the idea of the new Wolf. And I listen some. In the morning. Fit-with-a-Z is great. And it's great to have Mary back in Seattle radio. BUT if you have listened for more than a couple of hours here and there you know the following are true:

1. Outside of the morning crew the on-air staff at The Wolf are BORING-with-a-ZZZZZ! No personality. Just announcers. Worse than NPR. Blah.

2. They are playing the same damned songs that KMPS is playing. And no more & no less. Can't they bust out a few "old" country songs now & again? How about throwing on, just now & again, something from an album that hasn't been played to oblivion. I swear, most albums have 12 songs or so on them but they play only 2 or 3 of them! Every once in a while LET'S HEAR THE OTHER 10!!

3. America is based on the almighty dollar, pal. Period. If this "change" brings in $$'s then, yes, it is "good." Yes, I agree... that is sad. But true.

Cheers,

So i'm not a country kid either but I have to admit that this station definitly has the right approach to competing with the opposition. The only problem I find with it is that as it becomes more popular they won't be able to involve the listener as much as they do right now. that's all

The Wolf plays country? Maybe to a city person. I am a lifelong country listener from out in Hickville. I know my country music. Not once have they played anything at all by Johnny Cash, and they rarely ever have played a song made before 2000. I'll admit I listened to them---before they had Deejay's and before they played commercials. Now all you hear are the commercials and the annoying deejays who can't ever seem to find anything interesting to talk about. If the Wolf had kept the whole no talking, no commercials, then they definitely would have overtaken KMPS. However, they just don't have what it takes to hold listeners attention. KMPS has been around for decades, and has yet to do anything wrong. Seattle's loyalty lies with the fun deejay's at KMPS, far away from the annoyances to be found at 100.7.
