The worst commercials in TV history..

The recent Hardees/Carl's Jr. commercial for their Jim Beam thickburger with that annoying "Whiskey-O, Johnny-O" tripe disguising itself as a song coming on prior to my local newscast's weather forecast this evening has prompted me to enter Reply No. 600 to this thread. Then again, we discussed this near the beginning of the thread, but basically any and all Hardee's commercials since their 1997 purchase by Carl's Jr. belongs in the Worst Commercial category.

Just signed on to enter the Carl's Jr joker myself. You beat me to it. And, a little off topic, but how cosmic of you to be entering Reply #600 on your 1600th post! Whoooaa...

After seeing this ad for the first time in tonight's Saints-Vikings NFC championship game on Fox, I now nominate the Walmart birthday party ad with the clown (who was scary looking enough already) who accidentally steps on a unicorn decoration when jumping down the steps--and finds himself screaming in pain (and scaring off the kids in the process). Tasteless and sad--I can't see how anyone can find this to be funny--but that's just my opinion.

The YouTube link to this latest work of art:

YouTube has yanked this video.

Another YouTube video of the infamous Walmart clown ad from early 2010 exists, and apparently didn't survive the censors:

I HATE THOSE TDBANK COMMERCIALS! You know, the nameless voice of a big bank telling people, "The Bank Is Now Closed," "We can't allow people to take our pens," and so on.
And that 1-877-Kars For Kids commercial. The hard rock and roll version is worst than that.

Do online-only commercials count? If so, I nominate the Kmart "Ship my Pants" ad--which I don't think has made it to TV yet:

Oh yes it HAS made it to TV- at least in our market Phoenix AZ it has. I must be gettin' old- scatological humor just makes me angry. Unless you're 9 years old or with the psychological maturity of a 9 year old boy, it's never cute.

Kmart has another similar commercial (possibly online only again): "Big Gas Savings." Childish.

Yes - but it gets attention. Howard Stern practically built his career on fart jokes.

The relatively new SafeStep commercials, starring pitchman Pat Boone. The sight of semi-naked Boone partially submerged in a tub of bath water made me gag. This commercial one-ups his forgettable (I wish) topless appearance on the MTV Awards show years ago. Remember that? If his pastey, doughy, aged chest flesh didn't make you wanna purge, his body peircings sure did!

The Foster Farms commercial where the lady behind the desk wants the chickens to take a drug test, a PEE TEST!

Chickens don't pee. I learned that from an Italian phrase which translated says "You can talk when chickens pee." Oh, and I think I learned that in school as well.

Oh my goodness, LET'S GET READY TO BUNDLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE just aired again. Has Progressive known that this commercial is the most irritating, throw-something-at-the-TV, annoying commercial that has ever been produced? Give me a break!

That should be obvious! This commercial makes me wonder if the ad agency has their finger on the pulse of irritated TV viewers, while the client, the clueless PROGRESSIVE, keeps writing checks to the agency rep. On the other hand, isn't it astonishing that nobody in PROGRESSIVE's marketing dept instinctively knows that viewers are hitting the mute button?!

I have found Progressive's commercials to be generally entertaining but they do need to avoid the one-after-another repetition that drive people crazy.

I do like this one though (and I am not a WWE fan).

It took about a two-month hiatus after airing a lot during c. April, but now it's playing all over the TV! Twice during a rerun of Hell's Kitchen on CMT, and probably on other channels as well. I wish they would just kill that commercial!
