The worst commercials in TV history..

I nominate the GEICO "hump day" camel ad for the Worst Commercial List. Bombastically loud camel voice, absolutely annoying and stupid. Just as bad as Progressive's "READY TO BUNDDDDLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Michael Buffer mess...

For now, I enjoy watching the hump day spot, but, like freshly caught fish, it will age fast.

I also nominate any of the "Jamster" text message ringtone ads. They are SO annoying! Especially the one with the bunny that says "Hi! It's your phone!"

Old McDonald spelling cow

"C O W" pause "E I E I O"

He spelled cow and paused so he got it right. Then again it's yet another Geico commercial with a huge plot hole.

I have not read all 65 pages of this topic.....seems to be a popular topic.....but the worst commercial was for a bug spray and had roaches crawling across the screen but they looked like they were in the same room as the tv.

Probably mentioned before, but that bombastically loud "OWWWW!!!!!!!!" WaxVac blast. Most annoying direct-response ad of all time!

I can't stand that one, bring back the basketball player blocking the shot!

Why do insurance companies in particular (GEICO, Aflac, State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, etc.) all have such consistently, irredeemably horrible commercials? They're all trying to be funny but failing miserably in the process. I suppose that when it comes to humor, not trying at all can sometimes be better than trying and not succeeding.

Sometimes it's really not about being funny, but being remembered. We're talking about it, so it must work.

Good point. Maybe being relentlessly annoying is a part of their ad agencies' strategies. (If it is, they're succeeding!)

Not long ago Axa-Equitable had those commercials featuring a 600-pound gorilla; I guess they were hoping it would be the next big mascot like the Geico gecko or Aflac duck.

This takes the cake: "What would you do for a Klondike Bar?" That jingle drives me nuts! Having people doing stupid things for having one? As the jingle says, "Aren't you glad all you have to do is buy it?"

...which leaves me pondering the fate of the GEICO ads featuring the annoying pig. Gotta tell you, I actually enjoy the...when pigs fly... did she seriously say that? piece. Porky's come a long way since that irritating squealing down the hill spot, backside on a skateboard.

Maxwell has gotten better since his "WEEE WEEE WEEEEEEEE!!" days. He is actually talking and not saying any annoying sfx now.

As someone who cleans his ears with q-tips, that commercial sends a sudden chill down my spine. ;D

Spine? How about your ears?

Oh, I forget ears too. Reminds me of the time I bought the cheapo generic store brand Qtips, and got it too close in the ear.
