The worst commercials in TV history..

I'll now add the latest commercial for the "Cat's Meow" pet toy with the annoying background music (it was OK at first but has worn thin on me):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5mQOsnm0nQ

Is it just me or does the music in the Cat's Meow commercial sound like something that likely may have been used for a "Joker's Wild" revival gone REALLY BAD (as in at least 10 times WORSE than TJW90 bad--if it was even remotely possible). :D

My cat (before she died) just laid outside and did nothing but sit like a log, sleep, and eat. Sometimes got her fur brushed. Rarely meowed. I don't know if this Cat's Meow toy would even work (if she was still around...)

Brand new and already getting old, GEICO's latest TV assault, the Who? owl.

GEICO seems to have gotten better. Still hate the Hump Day, but I really enjoy the "C-O-W-E-I-E-I-O" spelling bee commercial. Very funny!

Any commercial about an incurable disease such as cancer (several close relatives of mine have had it and it's a nightmare), any prescription drug, ... Any commercial promising a new face (go away, Debby Boone, please! LOL), ones about depression or how adding this drug will to your current anti-depressant will show results and the fast talking "side effects" (may cause thoughts of _____) or other physical ailments that are too disgusting to mention here ......

Political commercials are not my favorite.

I would rather have the "meow meow meow meow" commercial all day long. And please, please take away Flo from Progressive! GO A-W-A-Y!

Hoping that law goes into effect soon about how they won't be allowed to have deliberately increased volume with certain commercials. I think the best thing to do is shut the stupid idiot box OFF.

Yep - side effects may include headache, nausea, vomiting, COMA OR DEATH.

I kind of like these commercials not for the list of badness but for the barely related stock footage and the inane music bed. It's a shame Charlie Sheen can't behave himself bc Charlie Harper would make millions writing music for the drug ads. ;)

Tried to go back and edit and I passed the time limit. [You guys don't give us much time to edit!] :) Wanted to add Jamie Lee Curtis and her stupid Activia commercials ....also they should put a "do not attempt" message while she's eating and driving. That can be as dangerous as texting and driving. Speaking of "do not attempt", I wish they would pull the plug on those as well!

I can't find it on YouTube, but one drug commercial in the '80s listed among its "possible side effects": oily discharge from the ****. My sons, ages 8 and 10, nearly split a gut laughing. So did I. And...

...Those TV spots for BEANO-- I can't remember ever seeing any "possible side effects" tag on those commercials. Viewers were perhaps more consumed with the possible side effects of not taking BEANO. ;)

There was one a few years ago for some sort of mental condition that had possible side effects of "increased gambling or sexual compulsion". Dropped my jaw when I heard that one.

Wasn't that Olestra, the ill-fated fat substitute? Jeff Foxworthy mentioned Olestra in one of his bits. The side effects for Chantix, the anti-smoking medicine, are the worst, mentioning thoughts of suicide, hallucinations, and unusual dreams. I'll keep my cigarettes, and I don't even smoke.

That's because they usually don't mention side effects for over-the-counter drugs. Only with drugs available only by prescription that they are required to mention side effects and drug interactions.

My wife hates this ad worse than country music. I fear she'll throw a boot through the TV screen...

Can't blame her. That commercial has to be in my top three least favorite of all time. It came on three times within a half hour the other day. Then I shut the tv off altogether. Very hard to sit through that one.

Thanks, AZU. How obvious. I should have figured that out myself.

Now I feel bad-- Jaime was hospitalized last night for injuries sustained in an auto accident. I agree, time's come to retire her Activia spots, but I wish her well.

Buffer's "BUNDLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" aired yet AGAIN as I was going to bed a couple of nights ago. Progressive, leave this irritating commercial ALONE!

I remember those ads, it was a diet pill if I remember correctly, you could eat as many potato chips as you wanted, but the after affects were nasty :D
