The worst commercials in TV history..

I've always liked K-Mart and still trade there more than Target or Wal-Mart. The prices are as good as any and the staff is friendly. (Whenever I go into Wal-Mart, I look around at both the crew and customers and ask myself, "Is the carny still in town?")

Now that I live in Yakima, I get to see these horrible commercials...
Triple Play Resort in Idaho - Kids crying and screaming - I mute it every time because it's so bad.

I shut this horrible commercial off too. Can anyone say "I feel like dancin and singin'"?

Also the new Cherrios ad with the honey bee rapping is awful, and so is the Eggo ad with the horrible rapping. WHY in the world do you have to put the worst music genre, in history, in commercials?!

I also don't like Perfect Bacon Boooooooowwwwwwwllllll - the announcer is annoying and stupid.

AND...one more, the MOINK! Jack in the Box ad. Airs constantly on local Yakima stations and the lyrics are annoying. Remember when they did a horrible jingle for Mini Sirloin Burgers around 2008 or early 09? Horrible. This is just as bad.

Is it just me or did anyone else dislike Radio Shack's Super Bowl ad (where they took on their "80s" image)? I understand the point, but maybe a little too over the edge for my taste:

I thought it was a great commercial. Did you recognize all of the figures represented? I wonder if younger people who saw it experienced any of that stuff from the decade.

DVRs people. I so rarely watch shows 'live' anymore that I actually miss out on cultural references. The other day, I read an article on the elderly "Swiffer couple" who are apparently so popular that they were guests on Ellen. I had never seen these ads. Made me feel good.

You should see all the 1980s and 1990s VHS tapes I have - all of these I am describing with old TV programming. The commercials of the late 1980s were WAY better than these. Yes, most had cheesy jingles but they described about the product - not using a fart joke to describe it like in 2014.

Well, it's back. The worst commercial in television history, Michael Buffer's "BUNDLEEEEEEEEEEEE" for Progressive is back big time.
Also bad on the charts - Charter Cable's horrible "855-755-2999" ad with some motorcycle people and "angel" women. Stupid jingle.
Honey Nut Cheerios' horrible rapping bee. Swat it now!
Toaster Strudel with the stupid German/Norwegian sounding kid. I want the 'hee hee' of the Doughboy's belly back!
Maxwell the Geico pig singing about "Boots and Pants".

Here in the ATL, those American Freight Furniture ads have been getting on my nerves, especially the voiceover guy running down the four locations n the last few seconds in hyper speed.

Attorney Ken Nugent's (no relation to Ted) and "Let's Krystal!" are starting to sicken me as well. I'm sure bpatrick and/or Ccook55 may remember some bad Atlanta TV commercials from their day (though they were still better produced than Fairbanks's).

Consolidated Credit and their "Debt Suckers" might also make this list. These stupid CGI Dracula "creatures" are bombarding the TV as well.

Almost June and "LET'S GET READY TO BUNDLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" still ruining my TV viewing. Thanks a LOT Michael Buffer.
Same to those Charter "angels" singing 855-755-2999! Disgusting.

Another one I hate right now is the Apple ad with that "Gigantic" song. What a stupid ad.

I don't even get the point of the "boots and pants" commercial. I also don't get the one with Bill Cowher where the woman is looking out the window, seemingly daydreaming about a car across the street; what does that have to do with getting a cable and internet bundle? Another one that bugs me--and I can never remember the name of the advertiser--has the two women in a green and white van, doing various things like singing (one tries to sound operatic) and nearly missing the place where they're taking their customer.

We have a local law firm (in Raleigh) that specializes in personal-injury cases and this tacky jingle:

Call the heavy hitters.
We'll work to get you more.
1-800-LAW-0804!

The Heavy Hitter? In Yakima, that's Mariano Morales. 853-2222! Their commercials suck. The newest ad has Mariano in front of a robot monster guy. There's also another where he drives a race car since he says he is fast in getting people more money for their injuries. Lawyer groups can be so stupid sometimes.
That "framily" dance commercial for Sprint SUCKS as well.

In San Francisco, one of the hospital chains has a 15-second ad that runs incessantly during local news, showing a woman with an ice pack on her foot in an ER waiting room..and suddenly, she's at home on her couch, petting her dog..because she signed up for some feature where patients can 'wait at home', in order to get treated more quickly when they actually get to the ER. No dialogue, just a cloying guitar riff.

I'm also tired of that 'Despicable Me' amusement park ride ad ('Find Your Inner Minion') that is usually paired up with the hospital ad on the news. No desire to see a movie about what look like living Twinkies who can only grunt.

A larm Company ads:"CPI, identify yourself! The police has been dispatched. LEAVE THE PREMISES HOW" (supsect runs away)

On the other hand, this one is stuck in my head:

"Call 1-800-267-2001! ALARMFORCE!! SLAM!!!"

Ah, memories of News 1130 Vancouver..."ALARM FORCE!" Listed on the TSX!
Same with The Monitoring Center - ads both on CKWX AND KNX in Los Angeles. "1-866-24/7-4999!"

Progressive also has at least two more "wonderful" Flo commercials. First one talks about the "Birds and the Bundles." Looks like a luxury car ad at first - then it's Flo, and a mother covering her son's ears - are you kidding me Flo?!?! :( The next phase after Michael Buffer.
Then I saw one where stupid idiot Flo is in a freakin wind tunnel!! This was before a Youtube video.

The "Spectrum is coming" ads
it makes it look like a new cable
coming but its actually a rebranding of Charter's cable services just like Comcast and Xfinity

Which speaking of Charter, their horrible angels and motorcycle guys singing about 855-755-2999 are still ruining my local news viewing. Thanks a lot Charter.
