They preempted that for this?

ABC O&O WPVI 6 in Phiadelphia is airing an hour-long special celebrating the station's 50th anniversary tonight at 8:00 Eastern. Holey Moley is bumped to 1:07 AM, replacing the encore of Tamron Hall.

new week...and back to the FOX "optional" sports programming for Saturday

2pm is MLB Classics...Game 6 of 1986 NLCS (Mets/Astros)

Sunday is the Nascar cup race from 'Dega which will be shown nationally

Looks like our friends in St John's, NL are down to one day of COVID-19 provincial update and thats Wednesday

still at 2pm which splits up Days of Our Lives to 1:30-2 and 3-3:30
Rachael moves to 4pm replacing Tamron Hall
(Rachael is on at 2:30 normally)

which got rained out and postponed to today at 2pm CDT....still on Big FOX

Scheduled to end at 7:00 Eastern. But since FOX sucks at estimating duration of sporting events, overrun took over programming yet again. FOX did not sign off until 8:06, with commercials continuing until about 8:10. On the East Coast, 9-1-1 was JIP'd since it was a repeat. On KDVR in Denver, the 5:00 and 5:30 newscasts were skipped and Jeopardy! was JIP'd towards the end of the first round (specifically, during a $600 clue about balsamic dressing). 7:00 and 7:30 Eastern programming was pre-empted on all East Coast FOX affiliates. Not a huge loss for NYC since the only first-run show lost was Extra at 7:00, which has two encore airings. 7:30 is Big Bang Theory.

there was an hour plus rain delay which is why it ran past 7 CDT

After three months, WCBS New York will resume its 12:00 newscasts starting tomorrow. Until then, 12:00 was filled with syndies. On Mondays, it was the "C" run of Judge Judy (which also airs at 10:00 PM on WLNY), while Tuesday-Friday was an encore of the previous day's Inside Edition. Odd that they wouldn't repeat the Friday IE's on Mondays since many other stations that carry encores of the entertainment/news syndies (ET, Extra, TMZ, etc.) will show the previous Friday's episodes on Mondays.

Speaking of Inside Edition, WFSB CBS 3 in Hartford is pre-empting it for three days in a row this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for specials on the PGA Travelers Championship, which is held in nearby Cromwell, CT this Thursday-Sunday, with the weekend games airing on CBS. IE will not air at all for those three weekdays and it does not have an encore airing. The weekend edition airs late Sunday nights/Monday mornings at 1:35 AM.

I was incorrect. The rain delay was 56 minutes, not "hour plus"

Start time to record race/commercial periods: 3:02 PM
Rain Delay: 4:20 PM
Restart: 5:16 PM
End time to record race/commercial periods: 7:50 PM

It's been two weeks now but I should go ahead and mention it since people are interested in this stuff.

I finally watched a show on WSOC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Charlotte, and saw they were going to do a special at 7 P.M. on June 11 related to the protests. Maybe nelsonincharlotte can help me with this. I don't remember what it was called. I don't even know what shows WSOC-TV airs in that slot but I recall "E.T" being one of them, and of course I have no idea when or if those aired.

it wasn't Fox's fault a thunderstorm hit Talladega Superspeedway and wash the track and resulted in jet drying trucks and Air Titans to dry the track. but at least they managed to get the full race in.

I know it wasn't FOX's fault. I was explaining to Mr "Why does Jeopardy not get pre-empted and Wheel always does?" why the race went long.

Last night, WFTV ABC 9 in Orlando aired a one-hour special on race at 8:00 PM Eastern. Two episodes of The Conners were bumped to Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 PM.

Nexstar has been cranking out the specials lately. All New York State markets with Nexstar-owned stations aired a half-hour special titled "Destination NY" tonight at 7:00 PM Eastern. The special will air again (either as a repeat or a second installment) this Saturday at the same time. The following stations are pre-empting the following programming. Of course, with this special slotted for 7:00 PM in the Eastern Time Zone, it's no surprise which show is the most affected.

Plattsburgh/WVNY ABC 22: Only airing Wednesday's special, replacing local news. Sticking with the hour-long weekend edition of Extra on Saturday.

Watertown/WWTI ABC 50: The Big Bang Theory - Pre-empted entirely both days. Also, both Destination NY specials are airing on the .2 CW+ subchannel, Wednesday at 7:30 PM (pre-empting Family Guy), and Saturday at 6:30 PM (pre-empting Bob's Burgers).

Elmira/WETM NBC 18: Jeopardy! - Wednesday episode moves to 18.2 replacing a repeat of 18.1's 6:00 news, Saturday episode pre-empted entirely.

Utica/WUTR ABC 20: Entertainment Tonight - Wednesday episode bumped to 1:07 AM (though ET repeats on sister WFXV FOX 33 the following weekday at noon), ET Weekend on Saturday moves earlier to 5:30 PM, both makegoods replacing Paid Programming, one of which moves to Saturday at 7:30 to fill the gap.

Syracuse/WSYR ABC 9: Entertainment Tonight - Pre-empted entirely. There is no encore for the weekday airings, but there is for the weekend ones Mondays at 2:05 AM. Since ET Weekend is an hour but the special is only half an hour, Saturday at 7:30 is filled with an infomercial.

Buffalo/WIVB CBS 4: Wheel of Fortune - moves to WNLO CW 23 both days, replacing Inside Edition on Wednesday (it repeats regardless at 12:30 AM) and Pawn Stars on Saturday.

Albany/WTEN ABC 10: Wheel of Fortune - Wednesday episode bumped to 1:05 AM, Saturday episode bumped to 2:37 AM, both replacing Paid Programming. During past pre-emptions, WOF moved to WXXA FOX 23. They didn't say why this wouldn't be the case this time, but I bet it's because Jeopardy! wouldn't be able to move with it since it's not affected this time.

Rochester/WROC CBS 8: Wheel of Fortune - Wednesday episode bumped to 2:37 AM, Saturday episode bumped to 1:35 AM, both replacing Paid Programming.

Binghamton/WIVT ABC 34: Wheel of Fortune - Very interesting make-up method for this one. To make up for no WOF on Wednesday or Saturday, three episodes will air on Friday. Wednesday's episode at 5:00 PM, Saturday's episode a day early at 5:30 PM (these two airings replace The Dr. Oz Show), and Friday's episode at 7:00 PM as usual. Very rare for a station to air a weekend syndie run on a Friday. I do recall one incident about three years ago where WOF had to pull a repeat episode scheduled for a Friday and all stations aired the Saturday episode on both Friday and Saturday, which was weird but I guess there was no time for them to send a different episode for Friday.

Apparently "Destination NY" is a travel show promoting NY State tourist attractions. They must think by promoting in-state travel they'll discourage out-of-state travel.

That makes sense, especially since Nexstar has no stations in NYC, so it doesn't encourage people to travel there, or people from there to travel upstate.

This weekend's FOX "optional" sports program is Sunday only
11am CDT Game 7 of last years WS
2pm Game 4 of 2001 WS (Yanks/D-Backs)

Saturday is cup race at Pocono..Sunday's race is on FS1

Last year's Game 7 ran super-long, at least 4.5 hours I believe, so it will probably be edited down a lot. Unsurprisingly, WNYW is showing infomercials in its stead, but is showing WS 2001 because Yankees.

WJKT in Jackson, TN has both games scheduled, but WHBQ in Memphis has infomercials and syndicated programs as usual.
