They preempted that for this?

So what will they air between 8 and 10?
probably the scheduled FOX program which is a rerun of "Masterchef"

edit: I was wrong....per zap2it
8:00 PM Mike & Molly "Goin' Fishin'"
8:30 PM Modern Family "Heart Broken"
9:00 PM 2 Broke Girls "And the Kilt Trip"
9:30 PM Seahawks All Access

Looking at a few west coast schedules I see the FOX affiliates are just plugging in their afternoon syndicated programming (that is pre-empted) after the game.

I was wrong then! My Charter TV guide showed MasterChef between 8-10, and an infomercial at 7:30. We'll just have to see what happens post A-Rod tonight.
I believe Seahawks All Access originates from KCPQ in Seattle. KCYU/KFFX also air Washington's Most Wanted on Saturdays, which comes from KCPQ.

The Tribune sister stations will be happy in Hartford/New Haven tonight! FOX 61 Hartford carries Rays vs Yankees and A-Rod...weather permitting. CW 20 Waterbury/Hartford will air the DOLPHINS vs Giants preseason game from WWOR-TV. Was the NFL game originally scheduled for WNYW-TV?

WCTX-TV (MY) channel 59 of New Haven aired the Saints vs Patriots preseason game last night. Not sure what was preempted, as I rarely, if ever, watch that station.

The Scripps stations, including WFTS almost always pre-empts their own syndicated program, "The List". This one is special, as it's not a network program, or a syndication program that is everywhere, like the Wheel/Jeopardy duo, but a owner syndicated program, exclusive to Scripps-owned stations.

So what do they air instead? Paid programming?

yet again on Wednesday (copied from a previous post)

Again not really "Inexplicable"...but My29 WFTC Minneapolis will be delaying network programming until midnight so they can show the MN United (NASL Soccer) game. They have a contract to show all MN United games live. The "friendlies" (or whatever they call them where you play someone outside of your league) have not been televised.

Station Angers Bachelor in Paradise Watchers with Tornado Warning

Indianapolis ABC affiliate WRTV wanted its viewers to see the complaints it received after preempting Bachelor in Paradise last night for report on a series of tornadoes that touched down nearby, so it posted some on its website.

Bachelor in Paradise is where some of the rejected Bachelor/Bachelorette suitors go to drink, mingle and canoodle their way to another shot at love on national television.

“This is an outrage @rtv6,” tweeted one viewer. “The citizens of Indiana need to be watching @BachParadise.”

These are probably the same yo-yos you see on videos on Weather Nation standing on the roofs of their car submerged in 10 feet of flood waters because they drove around the "Road Closed" barriers.

We have an official and legal name for those people here in AZ. Violators of the Stupid Motorist Law (and yes, that is its official name and it can carry a pretty heavy fine).

I'd rather see Bachelor in Paradise cancelled. Can't stand that show, and others like it! RTV-6 did it right by showing coverage of the tornado warning. Now if only ABC can show some good, quality programming in the summertime. Hell, even Home Improvement reruns are better than anything Bachelor-wise!

Another programming note: KCYU/KFFX is preempting some shows due to Seahawks preseason football on Thursday. 6PM is an infomercial instead of Modern Family, the pregame is at 6:30 and the game runs until 10:30. Both Modern Family's, both 2 Broke Girls reruns, and the late evening lineup (Law & Order: CI, Two & A Half Men, Anger Management, Hot in Cleveland) are gone. They will show the network shows from 11PM-1AM, then go into infomercials joined in progress. Sometimes I wish they still had This TV instead of Telemundo, so all of the syndicated reruns could go there. KAYU is also preempting several reruns.

Did any NBC affiliates in Louisiana preempt the Olympics for flooding coverage?

Well We have NBC stations on the west coast do some fire Updates like the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California on fire and in Lake County Fire in Northern California between Olympic events. Olympics here continued on NBC Sports Net on Cable for Xfinity subscribers. We understand that here in California Fire on the hills in a common summer event here and breaking news with a cal fire evacuation update is understandable. In the Sacramento area whenever KCRA cannot air the Breaking news event due to Olympics. The Breaking News event moves to KQCA My 58 and they are also airing the Lake County fire emergency response.
