They preempted that for this?

How would WTWO do a make-good on that without creating a domino effect? Maybe it should just post all the answers from the missed show online: Phrase: NOTHING BETTER TO DO. Thing: OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER. What are you doing?: LOSING BRAIN CELLS. Place: DANBURY CONNECTICUT.

I’ve stayed silent on this long enough. I’m going to have to defend WheelRob here.

Not sharing a certain interest with another poster doesn’t require ad hominem attacks. I know I’m not a moderator, but I’m just posting my two cents. Just remember, if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.

OK, I stepped over the line with the last one. Apologies to WheelRob and I won't comment on his posts again.

I'm going to keep doing what I do so long as I am not breaking the rules of the topic or forum, which I am not. If you have a problem, then stop watching this thread like a hawk to attack people who are upset that they don't agree with their favorite program being taken away for something else. I have seen too much arguing and venom being thrown not only at me, but others as well. And if someone is taking the time to make note of a pre-emption in a market that isn't their native one, that's their choice. No need for shaming and bad attitude.

West Virginia University has another basketball game tonight, this time against Austin Peay. Four affiliates will be airing it from 7-9 Eastern.

Charleston - WOWK (CBS): 7:00 is a newscast, Inside Edition at 7:30 is pre-empted entirely, Young Sheldon is bumped to 2:30 AM and The Unicorn to 3:00 AM, both replacing CBS Overnight News which will be JIP'd at 3:30.

Clarksburg - WBOY-DT2 (ABC): Big Bang Theory reruns at 7:00 and 7:30 are pre-empted entirely, as are Disney holiday specials Olaf's Frozen Adventure (which will re-air on ABC next Tuesday at 9:00) and Toy Story That Time Forgot (which will re-air several times on Freeform and the various Disney channels).

Wheeling - WTRF-DT2 (MyTV): The usual 7-9 Thursday lineup of Mom/Mom/Law & Order: CI is bumped to 3-5 AM in Paid Programming slots.

Lewisberg - WVNS (CBS): Young Sheldon and The Unicorn are bumped to 2:03 and 2:34 AM, replacing The Game and Funny You Should Ask (which are not airing at all as opposed to last time when they were slid back an hour). Tonight's episodes of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! are delayed to Saturday, replacing their usual reruns and bumping those to 2:00 and 2:30 AM Sunday. Since WOF has the "Secret Santa" home viewer sweepstakes, WVNS will announce tonight's winning SPIN ID's on a crawl during the basketball game at 7:30 PM, as well as on the station website. Since Saturday's makegood of Thursday's WOF is threatened by college football overrun, it will re-air at 3:00 AM (after Jeopardy!'s rerun; listed as Paid Programming) if the episode ends up being fully pre-empted by their mandatory "6:30" newscast.

Not sure where to post this, but I switched to NPR when all the all-Christmas stations were doing something I didn't like. The station said it would be going back to impeachment coverage at 7.

I was relieved to find "Jeopardy" actually aired after hearing that announcement.

It may have not been necessary at all.

Saturday WCCO Minneapolis is delaying Wheel to overnight so they can show a paid program on Blue Cross/Blue Shield

KEYC Mankato will show Wheel at its normal time of 6:30

Tonight WTNH the Nexstar owned ABC station in New Haven, CT will be airing ABC's "American Housewife" at 1:06AM and "Fresh off the Boat" at 1:36AM because from 8PM-9PM WTNH is airing a local special about "The Opioid Crisis" in the state of Connecticut.

That opioid stuff is crazy. Two of my friends - both in their 20s were so afraid of getting addicted to pain killers they both refused the pain killers they were prescribed by their doctors for separate injuries. One had an injured ankle. The the other had back pain. The one with the ankle injury treated himself with black market weed. The guy with the back pain took Aspirin.

No College Football on ABC or FOX this Saturday so weekend syndies and locals return for the most part. Although on WABC New York, Jeopardy! and WOF are still slotted at their usual alternate 4:30/5:00 AM Sunday slots for this weekend; 7:00 was a severe weather prep special (at least they know to do this on a weekend and not a weekday pre-empting a first-run program like many other stations), and 7:30 was a "Broadway Backstage" special, which WABC airs once or twice a year (always on Saturdays) going behind the scenes of the newest Broadway shows.

CBS still had a game today, this time scheduled until 6:30 Eastern, with East Coast affiliates scheduling either local news or leaving it to the national CBS Weekend News. As usual, the game overran thanks to the post-game show, until about 6:45. CBS Weekend News still only ran to 7:00. WCBS New York aired the infamous Operation Smile infomercial at 7:00 this weekend instead of ET Weekend (which would have been able to air in full for only the first time this season).

l (at least they know to do this on a weekend and not a weekday pre-empting a first-run program like many other stations), .

Moses did not come down from the mountaintop with an extra commandment thats one shall not air programs of local interest in place of whatever random syndicated show.

Your pet programs aren't the be all and end all. Stations serve their communities, and sometimes--hard as this may be to believe, that includes running something else at a specific time.

Next Monday (23rd) the Vikes are on MNF so WCCO Minneapolis has the game

Late shows get pushed back a half hour (game scheduled until 10:30 then news for 35 minutes)
Price is Right Holiday and All Rise get moved to 1:07 & 2:07 Tuesday
Bull gets moved to 1:37am Wednesday morning

Speaking of Monday Night Football....

WRTV is airing tonight's game at 8:00 PM. Don't know what's going to happen to The Great Christmas Light Fight and Jimmy Kimmel Live After Darth: A Star Wars Special tonight.

In New Orleans, WDSU is airing the game. The Voice and Holidays With the Houghs are airing tonight but don't know what's going to happen with them.

WRTV listings show Kimmel on at 12:15-1:17 and 1:17-2:17 so assume the latter is the episode that should have aired in Prime time (titantv confirms that)
titantv shows XMas light fight on at 3pm-5 tomorrow pushing Judge Jerry to overnights

WDSU pushing prime time to 1:07-4:07am

ABC still has college football with bowl games all day on Saturday. Also, CBS has college basketball scheduled to run until 8 PM ET. It's odd that they didn't schedule any college football games or postgame shows to run past 7 PM even though they ran over every week, but now they're doing it for college basketball. I know it is probably because of it being the weekend before Christmas, and I won't be surprised if it happens again on the next Saturday.

And pushing the "A" airing of Judge Judy (normally at 4:00) to 7:30 PM, which normally flip-flops between The List and Paid Programming.

Although WDSU/NBC is carrying the game itself (plus a pregame show at 6:30 Central pre-empting Inside Edition), WVUE/FOX aired their own pregame show from 6-7. Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune are delayed to 10:30 and 11:00 PM, replacing two episodes of Last Man Standing.

almost all the bowl games are tied up with ESPN/ABC. The Sun Bowl (on 12/31) is the only CBS bowl game
CBS has a doubleheader of basketball on Saturday. 2-4:15 & 4:15-7 CST. The reason for the long timeframe (usually its 2 hours or maybe 2 1/2) is because its a doubleheader in the same arena. North Carolina & UCLA at 2PM and then Ohio State & Kentucky approx 25 minutes after the first game. Figure the first game will run until 4:15 (so 2:15 run time) then a 25 minute warmup for the second game. Tipoff of 2nd game is approx 4:40. That gives CBS a 2:20 runtime of the 2nd game.

The only reason it starts later is due to it being in Vegas which is on Pacific time (so noon tipoff of the first game). The 28th the tipoffs of CBS games are 12:30 & 2:45
