Happens all the time. Lots of competition for syndicated shows in large markets. The assumption is viewers will record it and watch it the next day.My question unrelated to this topic is why is the only run of Dr. Phil airing at 1:35 am in Vegas?

Atlanta viewers missed out on seeing Julia Butters on ABC again...it was the Christmas episode from last year. (She left American Housewife this season and was replaced by Giselle Eisenberg).Back on the pre-emption track, WSB in Atlanta has bypassed tonight's Goldbergs and American Housewife reruns for a Covid 19 Vaccine News Special.
Yeah they can always DVR but this is one of the top syndie shows, this isn’t The Doctors. Thought it would’ve got a higher priority. Oh well.Happens all the time. Lots of competition for syndicated shows in large markets. The assumption is viewers will record it and watch it the next day.
The CBS sitcoms were all reruns. No biggie. My question unrelated to this topic is why is the only run of Dr. Phil airing at 1:35 am in Vegas?
KHQ is channel 6 (not 2 which is KREM CBS)
KHQ has carried Zags games for years so its not like this is something new. They had 4 non conference games in December cancelled due to COVID. KHQ has weeknight games on 1/7, 1/28 and 2/11 this season.
Actually the 1/7 opponent changed. It’s now BYU at 5:30 local time on espn. The 1/7 game was cancelled, so KHQ's regular programming returns that night. The Zags site also says KHQ has a game on Saturday at 5:00, but that would conflict with the Wild Card game, which is still listed on Zap2It and KHQ's site.
It's not just DC, every nearly every station across the country has either been carrying network or their own coverage of the goings on since around 2:15pm Eastern including PBS.
Don't forget Univision and Telemundo on the Spanish-language side.Correct. All of the networks are providing long form coverage, pre-empting local news coverage: ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, and even PBS.
If you now call it the "Big Five" (the Fox affiliate-based web is not really a news provider) of CBS, NBC, ABC, Telemundo and Univision, there are all five in continuous coverage now. By the way, Univision news often beats one or more of the "Big Three" of years gone by.As of 3:10 pm pacific , all of the big three are still with wall to wall. If memory serves this is the longest wall to wall since 9/11.
Got it. I wasn't deliberately leaving them out.If you now call it the "Big Five" (the Fox affiliate-based web is not really a news provider) of CBS, NBC, ABC, Telemundo and Univision, there are all five in continuous coverage now. The world changes to fast to keep up sometimes...Got it. I wasn't deliberately leaving them out.
