They preempted that for this?

That's odd. Any reason why? Were they worried of too much competition given that the rest of the Big Four were either series premieres or season premieres? There was also supposed to be a Price is Right primetime special on Wednesday, but it was scrapped a few days prior.

On Tuesday night, KHQ NBC 2 in Spokane aired a Gonzaga University basketball game from 6-8 PM PT, pre-empting an hour of local news, Jeopardy!, and Wheel of Fortune. Not sure what would happen to primetime if the game ran long, whether primetime would slide or get JIP'd. Tuesday's J!/WOF were delayed to Wednesday at 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM, replacing the second of two Hot Benches (both runs are in reruns this week) and Paid Programming.
Haha the peanuts movie got preempted

The only reason I can think of is the pauses in the production in some of the series because of the positive COVID tests. Young Sheldon was one of them.

Because of the Capitol coverage on Wednesday, WBBH NBC 2 in Fort Myers delayed Wednesday's Jeopardy! to Thursday, and double-ran Thursday and Friday's episodes on Friday. Due to this move, two Jeopardy!'s aired on Friday which meant no Wheel of Fortune, but three episodes of Wheel aired on Saturday to make up for both Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday's episode aired at 1:30 PM Eastern, followed by Saturday's rerun at 2:00, and Friday's episode in the usual 7:00 slot. Saturday's Jeopardy! rerun did not air due to NFL pregame.

Last night, ABC aired live coverage of the Georgia election right after The Lion King (2019) finished on the East Coast at 10:30 PM Eastern, replacing a scheduled rerun of The Goldbergs. Some, not all, West Coast markets aired the coverage live at 7:30 Pacific. KABC ran a crawl at the end of Jeopardy! announcing that the coverage would replace Wheel of Fortune, and Tuesday's episode would replace the rerun on Saturday.
The other two California ABC O&O's: KGO San Francisco and KFSN Fresno, both re-aired Tuesday's WOF tonight in place of WOF Weekend. KGO did air the first half of the episode on Tuesday, cutting to Georgia coverage after the third round.

Also, WVIR NBC 22 in Charlottesville, VA aired last Wednesday's WOF tonight in place of the usual rerun. Not sure how or if they made good on that day's Jeopardy! since tonight's airing would be pre-empted by NFL pregame.

Due to the pregame, WTAP NBC 15 in Parkersburg, WV put Game Time with Boomer Esiason (which also airs on sister WOVA FOX 22 on Sundays at 1:30) at 7:00, and ran a ticker throughout the show of the following: "PROGRAMMING ALERT: Due to this NBC Special, Todays episode of OCEAN MYSTERIES will air at Noon. | PROGRAMMING ALERT: Due to NFL programming starting at 7:30 p.m. tonights episodes of WHEEL OF FORTUNE and JEOPARDY are airing on WIYE." [sic] WIYE is their sister station, CBS 26. I don't know what the first thing referred to. Maybe they ran that ticker all day.

Some East CBS stations who opted to air local news at 6:30 Eastern following College Basketball instead of CBS Weekend news ran it past 7:00 due to overrun.

CBS O&O WBZ in Boston has already announced plans to simulcast tonight's Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! episodes on sister WSBK My 38, replacing Big Bang Theory x 2, due to an expected address from Biden. They usually only move J! to WSBK if it's an "important" episode like a tournament finale, or in last week's case, one of Alex's final episodes, but a Boston-based teacher is on tonight's episode. This is also the first time they are moving Wheel to WSBK on a pre-emption instead of bumping it post-Corden or not airing it at all. Both shows used to regularly air on WSBK until they both moved to WBZ starting in the 2009-10 season, back when the former was an indie.

Biden spoke from about 7:20-7:47 ET. CBS was the only one of the Big Four to air it. Worth noting that like last Thursday, CBS was the only one to have repeats for primetime tonight.

They will have new episodes of their shows next Thursday , but then MORE repeats on the 28th! 🤦🏼‍♂️

Last Saturday, after overrun from FOX's NFL game and postgame, a rerun of Masked Dancer was JIP'd on the East Coast. However, yesterday, postgame ran until about 8:12 ET and Masked Dancer, which was also a rerun, started from the beginning.

No it didn’t. Fox sports signed off at 6:58 CST and Fox programming started on time.
Last night, however, I saw that several of the Sunday Fox programs would air after football so I made sure to record what came after "Family Guy". I could have also added time to the original recording. I checked and the show did start late.

Wasn't the news after family guy?

Okay. My IPTV's catch-up feature must have had the FOX feed delayed by 12 minutes. At the start of the listing for Masked Dancer, it was on one of the field interviews just after the game ended. My mistake.

Last night, WILX NBC 10 in Lansing, MI televised its annual MLK Day event, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission of Mid-Michigan’s Day of Celebration, for the first time in its 36-year history. It is headlined by MLK's daughter, Bernice King. It aired from 7-8 PM ET, bumping Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! to 3:00 and 3:30 AM, replacing J!'s secondary run and their only run of 25 Words or Less. The latter two shows used to air at 12:00 and 12:30 PM until the recent debut of local program "Studio 10" at 4:00, shuffling their syndies; Dr. Oz now airs at 12:00.

Most ET/CT NBC affiliates are airing the White House press briefing from 7-8 PM ET instead of normal programming. ABC, CBS, and FOX all have normal programming for now.

Isn't Jeopardy considered the marque show of the 2.
No. At NATPE, they're marketed as one entity, despite some Central markets having the shows on competing stations. There is even a compact "Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!" logo that affiliates can use.

Also, if anything, Wheel would be the "parent" of the two, because J! was only revived for syndication because Wheel was such a success right from its first season, so Merv Griffin saw this as an opportunity to revive J! and make it a companion program. Remember that the very first incarnation of J! was cancelled by NBC in 1975 and Merv created Wheel to replace it. Jeopardy! would not be around today if it weren't for Wheel of Fortune.
