They preempted that for this?

I didn’t know anything about the Kimmel deal. I came on to post about WSOC preempting the first 45 minutes of the Grey’s season finale due to severe weather coverage.

They are re-airing it at 1pm today. Iniciar sesión en Facebook

Not sure why that showed up in Spanish.
I knew "Jeopardy" wasn't on. It wasn't on in Greensboro either which was surprising, but I forget what territory that market covers. I was able to watch because I recorded whatever came on at 1:30.

WJZY shifting Fox programming to 11pm-1am tonight, followed by Extra and TMZ because they are airing News Nation’s coverage of the January 6 hearings tonight while Fox is not.

Also Tuesday it was announced that they are now the official station for the Panthers, meaning they will be taking over the preseason games, the Fan Fest telecast and Panthers Huddle or whatever they end up calling it. The last two are on a Friday night, meaning Smackdown could be bumped to WMYT. That’s what they should do, but they could just delay it to after Charlotte Sports Live. Stay tuned.

Wonder if any other Fox affils are "going rogue" tonight and picking up the hearings.
WGHP is. They are bumping Master Chef and Don’t Forget the Lyrics to 11:30 and 12:30.

WSVN in Miami is, albeit doing their own coverage as they usually prefer to do rather than pick up the network. Heck, when covering world/nat'l news, they'd rather take CNN's NewsSource service feed rather than FOX more often than not.

KSAZ Fox10 O&O in Phoenix said this morning they would televise the hearings. I have not tuned in preferring the Stanley Cup Finals instead. I'll wait for the analysis instead.

Same here. I'm following it online, via print media, but I don't know what they think they're going to accomplish in 2 hours. The Senate Watergate Committee hearings took 5 months, and that was only the beginning.

Jeopardy was not pre-empted in my market. When it is, it is moved to "10 News 2" which carries continuous reruns of the latest newscast

Last night and also this Saturday WAXN once again split up their Goldbergs episodes, moving them to 4:30 and 11:35pm and moved up The King Of Queens to 6 and 6:30pm, and Seinfeld moved to 10:35 and 11:05 to accommodate two Charlotte FC games.

I have been adding two minutes to every Goldbergs recording because it got to where WAXN would cut the 11:30 episodes off too early, the 11:30 episodes have really been starting at 11:31. When it has aired Saturday at 11:30, it has really been starting at 11:35. I added 15 minutes before and that was too much time, but tried adding five minutes this time and it was just enough time.

Anywho on Sunday July 2 Charlotte FC is at Houston at 8:30 which preempts two Family Feuds. The other two move up to 5 and 5:30pm which preempts one of their episodes of Castle. It usually airs back to back at 4 and 5. When the Goldbergs airs at 4:30 on Saturday it preempts Impractical Jokers at 4:30 but that still airs at 4.

Also WJZY is airing their first Panthers Huddle tonight at 11pm which cuts Charlotte Sports Live to 30 minutes at 10:30.

I have to start remembering to record "The Goldbergs" because one of my TiVos malfunctioned ... no, wait, it might have been when I went on vacation, or when I didn't make sure the episodes wouldn't be deleted if the TiVo filled up.

Be sure and add two minutes. And five minutes if it airs on a Saturday at 11:30.

Inside Edition was bumped to 8 and 8:30 on Thursday night on WAXN due to an NBA Draft special that aired on both WSOC AND WAXN.

Once again WAXN went with their 7:30 Charlotte FC match schedule Saturday…Goldbergs at 4:30 and 11:35, King of Queens double run an hour early because of the pregame show, an hour of news at 9:30, followed by an hour of Seinfeld.

Charlotte FC has another match Thursday at home against Austin beginning at 7. The 7pm news will not air, obviously. The 6:30 Seinfeld episode moves to 5:30 to accommodate the pregame show and the 5:30 King of Queens and the 8 and 8:30 Family Feuds (which are reruns from the previous season) will not air at a different time.

I just looked in the Raleigh newspaper TV section which I have access to through one of the libraries I go to and WTVD, instead of "The American rescue Dog show", which I think is a rerun, is doing an hour of local fireworks and then "Our Sacred Honor" An American Salute".

Pre-empting programming on the Fourth of July for fireworks displays and patriotic music is the very definition of a routine pre-emption, not one that evokes a "They pre-empted that for this?" reaction.
