And my true identity is Mister Ed...or Franklin Coslett...or Miss Nancy. I really don't give a good dump who this person actually is, but I do give a dump when someone comes here and thinks they can play us for a pack of fools, which I think is what's happening.

Entertaining? Damn right, very entertaining indeed. God knows this board could use a poke in the ass, and maybe "Jack" is providing just that.

As to discouraging thoughtful discussion, Yonk, I am clearly opposed to that - bring it on, let's go, have at it. Here's my fuel for that discussion...

1) I say "Jack" is a female. Look for the clues. I see them.

2) I say "Jack" is a print person who would love to be on the radio/TV. There are many.

3) I also say that "Jack" will before long go away. Once found out, "Jack" will split. I'm near certain who "Jack" is.

Great discussion, the best this board has seen in a long time. Keep it going.

Let's see if I can answer all these recent posts in one swell foop.

1) Masterg you're a flat-out riot! I'm not a woman. Ask my wife.

2) I'm not in any form of journalism, print or otherwise but there's obviously no way in hell I can prove that to you to your satisfaction so I'll just quit trying, unless you all want to have a beer with me some evening.

3) There's nothing to "find out" but if you'd like to keep on thinking so, hey, it's your conspiracy theory. have a ball!

4) I stumbled on this board thru Google while trying to find places to "publicize" my BLOG, which as I said, is my first effort at same. I had no idea what it consisted of until lately. If you want me to stop posting and leave you to yourselves to discuss higher matters I'll happily do so. Just say the word.

5) The only reason I'm "attacking" WILK is that they endorse one-sided opinion AKA Lynn. Actually not even that. Lynn states that he disseminates all the facts but he only uses those that support his views. If you'll notice I DO have kinder things to say about Corbett and Henry, albeit I think that they fail to fulfill what I feel their full potential as hosts.

6) If I "go away" it'll be because I get bored with things and feel that I can't make a difference.

Just so you'll know, I honestly have no need to know who you are, so we can dispense with discussions of anonymity. I like anonymity, but I also accept the fact that it should carry some responsibility with it.

Not a problem, I'll try to live up to your definitions of responsibility and the offer of a beer still stands.

I have no problem "explaining myself" in person and why I don't want my identity out there. Frankly I think you'll understand once I've done so, and once again it has nothing to do with broadcasting. I'd just rather enlighten people face-to-face. It's lots more meaningful to say "Yeah I'll keep your confidence" in person.

I also don't want to post personal things that can be plastered all over the net unless I want 'em put there. I guess that I'm too old to totally trust the "electronic age". Have you seen that PSA on WBRE where the girl posts her picture and then can't take it back? Well the same goes for the written word. Once it's posted its gonzo!

In any case I'm working on a piece about BRE and YOU. Hoping to post it today but it's Sunday and I'm in a lazy mood. ;)

Actually nothing is "amiss here".

If you'll look I've signed my posts "Jack", a common nickname for John and it's my nickname too. This isn't a conspiracy but Yonkster and I ARE deeply involved in the Kenedy Assination, Marilyn Monroe's death, Hiding the identity of the true Tsarina, The fake moon landing and denying that Area 51 exists.

I don't really dislike anyone, in fact I think that Kevin Lynn, for instance, would be a fascinating person to talk to and / or have a beer with and that he would be fun to debate.

What I don't like is the lack of any real give and take in talk radio and especially on his show. In Kevin's case it seems all about the host's personality moreso than sharing his views and respecting those of his callers who disagree with him.

In my non-professional opinion one can have a relevant, passionate and successful show without denegrating people or trivializing their views. Kevin rides roughshod over everyone and skews his "facts" to support his arguments. Then if someone else has the temerity to be foggy on a "fact" Kevin pounces like a puma on a California jogger! This is what we take issue with. Perhaps we're too blunt and perhaps we state our case badly at times but if so, unlke Kevin, we'll try to improve.

There are certain THINGS I dislike, watermelon for instance, but that isn't germane to anything.

As I've said before I don't hate Kevin or anyone, what I'm offering is criticism, the same type that he dishes out, and as I said before I don't dislike him either. Please read what I've written here, all of it, before you jump to those conclusions. If you've made up your mind to dislike what I've written so much then may I suggest you stop reading. I'm sure you've got far better things to do than trouble yourself with my poor attempts at commentary and humor.

Call Kevin? How droll! The only way I'll interact with him is in a format that doesn't limit me to two minutes versus his three hours and it doesn't have to be public either. Maybe that way he can put aside his commercial posturing and actually participate in a discussion versus a lecture. As I've stated before, he's intelligent and articulate and I'd look forward to an actual debate with him.

As far as getting on with my life thanks for the advice but believe it or not my BLOG takes up only a minor part thereof and I can multi-task very well so listening to Kevin or anyone on the radio or TV takes up very little of my time. I have a very full plate outside this venue but thanks for your concern!

I read the whole thing. I like the blog too despite the heat generated by certain opinions expressed there.

Sorry about the "heat" but opinions tend to do that I guess. Hell, people get paid for yelling at each other don't they? ;D If ya don't believe me look at Fox News!
