This-TV now on the air in Dallas-FW

Some of the movies are good, what they can squeeze between the commercials. I would enjoy the Mister Ed and Sea Hunt re-runs if they weren't on at 4 to 6 AM.

When I'm down in the Victoria area I'll watch This TV some its a decent channel. Austin must be the WORST in DTV programing I'm glad they at least have a radar channel back.

Well, after 3 months the main issue I have with This TV is the excessive repetiton of commercials in movies. Yes of course it is a commercial station and they will run commercials, but last night for example I watched "For A Few Dollars More" and every 7-8 minutes they would break for 5 minutes of commercials, a lot of which were self promotion ads for This TV. Stretched a 2 hr 10 min movie (uncut, probably shorter for "TV") out to 3 hrs. Started at 11PM, I was up til 2AM to finish it! I can't do that too often.

Virtually everything I watch on THIS is recorded on VCR so I can zip through the commercials.

Problem solved.

Whatever became of that idea from Belo? I forget the name of the station but I thought it was supposed to debut in '09 before the recession.

Are you thinking of Retro TV Network? That was supposed to come to KLDT last year but never made it.

(Incidentally, the recession started in December 2007, so debuting in 2009 before the recession would've been kinda tough. ;))

I believe it was called ".2" - another "second channel" offering, which still hasn't made it on air...

Yes I have a couple of those antiquated tape-based "VCR" devices, and a DTVPal DVR. I have several hours of Mister Ed and Sea Hunt from This TV recorded on the hard drive in the DVR but I just never find the time to watch what I record. Seems like there's always something else on to watch in real time.

Their website doesn't appear to have been updated in quite some time: www.dot2network.com

Hadn't seen this network before. The website claims it's available in HD, so KFWD/52 would seem to be a more appropriate home than WFAA/8, since the former has the bandwidth available.
