There was a time when many stations had the "Thursday afternoon format". "Hey everybody it's a Thursday afternoon 15 minutes past the big hour of 3 and 77 sunny degrees on the outside". Those days have past, thank goodness, however, radio has stopped doing things that make it special. Sure there is technology that will give you time and temp and satellite feeds, along with voice tracking, sound live, however, time/temp and local info highlight what radio is all about and is unique to our business. Instead of becoming like other sources of entertainment, radio should deal from it's strengths.
