Tic Tak Offically Joins Now 92.3 For Afternoons

At first my intentions were real but it turned into a joke so now I am goin back to my internet show to have a blast .Appology to anyone who had there feelings hurt .LIfe is too short to always be serious Joe.

Tomorrow on the "Crazy Mike" show, his guest, President Obama, tells Mike how he would be better off working at the Special Olympics!

I cant believe how many haters there are on these boards....TIC TAK is fresh and very funny..ok he's not the standard NY jock...who cares he MOs talented. I used to listen to him at BOSS 97 while I interned there. He was funny and different from anything I heard. Then he was on Q 102 and had the best night show I can remember in Philly, it was so good and popular they kept the name The Freak Show after he left...and it failed because he left.. Congrats to tik mojo tak!!!

And for those who say he's a jerk here is a true story for you.
I was working part time for WAYV in New Jersey . I had met tik tak twice at WBSS when i interned there. I was despertly looking for a full time position and was having a terrible time even getting an air check from my PD. Mojo was a PD somewhere, I think it was in Indiana I can't remember, I had sent out at least 300 air checks across the country and would do the no no...thats right i would call and ask to speak to the PD...only 3 got on the phone..guess who one was? It was Tik Tack. I know and could tell he didn't remember me. He was overly nice and out of kindness acted like he remembered me. He gave me a half hour of his time to give me an aircheck...he was positive told me what he liked and what he didn't like...he was positive and inspiring and gave me the most helpful advice i ,to this day , have ever got .
He didn't have to get on the phone...he didn't have to talk to me but he did .
This has nothing to do with how much I enjoy him on the air I'm just saying he was a genuinly nice guy

In this case, "plants" (or shills) would refer to friends/acquaintances of jocks who praise them here as nice people, without regard to whether they have the chops to make it in the #1 market.

A lot of iconic jocks were magic on the air but horrible people.
Listeners don't care.

No. The reason the station exists is to attract numbers that can be monetized into more dollars than the old format delivered.
Isn't the goal of chr personalities to sound cool to their young listeners?
Do you think this "Golly Gee. So this is the big city. And Z-100 isn't cool" approach can give a "hip" impression to anyone here?
The average 14 year old here is more sophisticated than a 30 year old in most other markets.

I think he does come off "cool" and entertaining....yes they can generate more money than the old format and they won't beat Z100 but they may take some of their numbers...I think you're demonstrating the elitest attitude that keeps the same "old tired talent " in NYC ...nobody new belongs in NY blah blah...if you have any outrage it should be over Lisa Paige from Q102 Philly getting a shift..her numbers were average at best...at least Tik TAK has been number one in a couple of markets

OK. Let's get serious.
How the heck are listeners supposed to identify with personalities who a act as if NY is a strange area that they don't quite get?
How would Philly listeners react to a jock who said he can't wait to try "one of those beef & cheese grinders"?

Good point....probably half the audience would call and berate him....some would think "what an idiot".....some might be interested that a new personality new to the area is here to entertain and learn the area and have fun with it..I think he is just trying to make a point that he's new to the area ect...Once again I'm not claiming he's going to blow away the competition or be number one in the ratings...all I'm saying is that he's entertaining has good phones and deserves the shot he has been given...I think a good radio war is always entertaining to listen to...even though Z100 won't acknowledge Now on the air Tik Tak will be funny about attacking them and anyone that gets in his way and I love it.

That will show them, huh? Because we all know you are entitled to work there being someone who has "broadcasted" on all platforms. Being in Philly and boycotting a NY station will kick them in the crotch, too! How in the hell could someone turn down the opportunity to bring in a balding, mid 30s, Eagles fan who does an internet "show" from mom's basement? It just baffles me!
