Time for O&A in Atlanta

I nominate this as the dumbest post of year. So you think a radio station in market #9 should broadcast a one day old tape delayed radio program during a time of day that people typically tune in to find out what's going on in the world TODAY. Keep up the good work!

Humor is humor. People are going to tune in for that and not the latest breaking news on a comedy show. I and many people listen to the show already as a podcast already on a delayed basis. The show is funny and news segment of the show works as a comedic commentary on the news. Many times the news segment is just a launching point for one of Adam Carolla's comedic rants about a topic.

Besides, the news with Teresa Strasser on the Adam Carolla Show already has the funny promo "Tomorrow's News Today" (which would make it just right for this market).

We had Bob & Tom and everybody screamed, "They're not local!"

Now people are screaming, "Give us O&A!"

So, when we get O&A, we'll scream, "There not loc___.. (Aw, what the heck....) ::)

(Also, we don't have an oldies station AT THE MOMENT because BOTH Cox and CC pulled the plug on the big ones we had, and the smaller ones went Spanish. I believe we'll get one within the next 2 years, and it will be branded as, of course, "The NEW _____" for the three years after that.)

I believe if enough noise is made CBS could bring Opie and Anthony to Atlanta. I mean it only took 20 black people to complain about Don Imus to take him off the air. Maybe if we start threatening the advertisers and kill the ad revenue at DAVE unless they put O&A on the air.

It's was a tongue in cheek response. If people can complain to get dj's pulled from the air, why can't the opposite be true?

I’ve totally changed my opinion about O&A. There’s a lot about their show that I like, but they’re a little too sick for me at times. I don’t find death very funny, and hearing a description of someone brushing their teeth with [EDIT], sends me to another channel.

Ant’s impressions, Jimmy Norton’s one liners, and guests like Patrice O’Neal are great, but in the end the crap outweighs the gold.

There has been several times where I almost threw up listening. It's awesome.
