time for some new red sox announcers

Joe Castiglione does a great job for the sox, along with O'B. Geffner, he should be calling a game from the Brockton Rox, maybe. Sean McDonough's big head can't fit in a radio booth. As far as all this knit picking goes with Don and Jerry's banter... you guys have to much free time on your hands. NESN broadcasts about 150 games a year, the games last about 3 hours each. I would expect that a few minutes a night they guys would lighten up, for those "Jill Pink Hat" fans, and the kids. God forbid they make baseball funny so kids can enjoy it. Would you rather have Bob Kurtz calling a Scott Fletcher to John Valentin, to Mo Vaughn 5-6-3 DP?

the thing is it's not just a few minutes. It's a constant thing now--through the whole game. It's gotten steadily worse since they won it all. I tune in to watch a baseball game, not a game-long promotion for some dumb-a** promotion for Red Sox Nation hosted by an alleged journalist and with second-rate hacks as nominees. The game itself is the attraction but it seems to have become more of an afterthought to all the sideshow stuff going on. That's to say nothing of when they just make it back from commericial to catch the first pitch. They actually missed a couple of home runs last year doing that. Much as I don't like the national telecasts all that much, at least, after tomorrow, I won't have to endure any more Red Sox nation stuff. It'll also be interesting to see Don call a game for TBS and not have to deal with that stuff.
