TK Highest rated Classic Rock in Top 80 markets

Did you go to the J. Goebbel's school of spin? You keep repeating things hoping that people will believe you.

As they recover from the Stern debacle, 95X will do better in the lower half of the 25-54 demo. TK is positioned to do better in the upper half of the 25-54 demo. Both will be stronger with men than women, with slightly better balance for TK because of the nature of their music.

If you're selling beer, you'll need 95X. If you're selling cars, you may skew more toward TK, depending on the model. Viagra - TK. Trojans - 95X.

In short, there's room for both. A lot of the success for each station will depend on the skill of the sales people, and the level of trust between management and clients.

Of course, you did fail to mention that you were WRONG about TK being the highest-rated classic rocker in the top 80 markets. Just like you've been wrong about:

Infinity pulling Stern... Beaner & Ken... 95X format change(s)... Citadel "tanking in both Buffalo and Syracuse"... and so much more...

As far as Jack in Buffalo is concerned, I'll take my chances. I have faith in Buffalo's Infinity management team. They're almost as accurate and far-seeing as YOU are.

Look, you can keep repeating that "25-54 is the money demo" as many times as you like, but that doesn't make it true. 95X will do just fine 18-34, TK will do fine 35-54, and both will have a chance to make money. In another book or two, 95X will beat TK 18-49, and TK will beat 95X 35-54. 25-49 will be a toss-up.

Hopefully they'll put The Dog to sleep, and stop wasting the signal.

Now stop spinning, go sweep the chimney corner, and wait for Prince Charming to come for you.

PS - TK is NOT the highest-rated classic rock in the top 80 markets, 97-Rock in Buffalo IS classic rock, and Infinity has still not pulled Stern. 95X is not changing formats, and Beaner & Ken are growing nicely in Syracuse. Just so people can keep up with some of the things you've gotten WRONG so far.

I heard some late 80's Def Leppard on TK today.... yeaaaa very classic rock... don't come around here saying you are pure classic rock, snuggle up to those ratings and hold them tight... they'll be leaving you soon.

Well, we'll just have to see if they continue to improve, won't we. Maybe you'll be right - which in itself would be a momentous occaision.

In the meantime, enjoy TK's best book in a very long time. It's likely to be their best book FOR a very long time.
