"Today's K104.7"

I'd love to see 95.7 try some kind of rock format to compete with 106.5. Anything would be better than what's on there now. <waits for the "Dave owns it, go Dave, let Dave do what he wants remarks to begin>

CBS owns 104.7.

I remember now. "Miss Independent". And that's Kelly Clarkson, not Beyonce.

Is there a song by Taio Cruz where "Tai-O" is part of the lyrics. That's what made me think it was him.
 
I hear yan Carolinaradio but it will never happen! Dave is Dave and he will do what Dave wants and that is what you are hearing every day on The Ride! Somebody will make a move in this market sooner or later and we'll watch the rocket rise in the numbers and most certainly in the revenue.
 
It's funny because as bad as 95.7 seems to be with everyone.. I still find myself listening to it more than any of the other stations in Charlotte, including The Fox or The End. Yes Dave could make it more lively and dump those very old bumbers, but the music is at least less predictable than whats on either of the other two crappy stations here.

I wouldn't necessarily call The End crappy. I would call the Fox crappy, though.

It really comes down to what music you like. I have never been a hard rock fan and I'm surprised at how soft The Fox can be sometimes, almost an oldies station. As for The End, I'm too old for Alternative Rock so I never listen.
 
I don't know the name of the song I heard, but it's definitely not what the old K-104.7 would have played. I thought the name of the song was "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down, but I never heard that word.

I was thinking it might also be "Pocket Full of Kryptonite" by Spin Doctors, and it did have the word "pocket" in the lyrics, but there's no song by that name.
 
As long a J. Reynolds is running that jukebox of a station, the door will continue to swing. He has no true appreciation for talent when it walks through the door. I agree with the other comment “a 12 year old” could program the station better. He’s been in this market for over 12 years. During that time as a PD, I would guess he’s done at most…four actual air-shifts. In today’s world of radio now with all the cutbacks, most PDs have elected to take on an air-shift. What makes J. Reynolds so special that he’s not doing a shift? Would it be the ego, or the lack of talent?
 
I'm shocked WKQC was so ahead of WLYT in the PPM for January. What on earth is more compelling about K than Lite?

K's live morning show, vs. Lite's canned one?

K doesn't have Delilah (a PPM killer), Lite does?
