Tom Del Rio out at da Bomb

Re: Tom Del Rio out at da Bomb-Rick Stewart still there

As far as THIS goes, I never said SD was sleepy. I simply stated that lifestyle thing is an opinion thing so I'd leave that be. Doesn't mean I agree or disagree with you. Just didn't feel like having THAT conversation as that is opinion and we were having a FACTUAL conversation about pay in SD vs Sac... We don't know Tommy Del Rio's preference of lifestyle, which is why there is no need to discuss that further.

Oh, yes we DO know what his lifestyle was. Del Rio is gay. Bona-fide fact, he did not hide it. AND, Sacramento is more accepting of gay lifestyle than San Diego.

An Entravision staffer told me that Del Rio and a couple promotions people were blwn out at the same time over a payola-ish deal they did. He was on the take according to reports.

That's a very bold, slanderous statement... would you like people posting rumors about you on one of these boards? Seriously... it's been like 2 years... why are you still talking about this? Del Rio is a great guy, and a solid radio programmer... nuff said.

It's not a rumor, it's true. It's not slander, it's true.

c'mon... The guy wears pink silk shirts to work and is very open about his being gay. How is it 'slander' if I mention it? I don't have a problem with someone being gay. Geez.. Chill out! I'm as progressive as the next guy.

I never questioned the guy's 'greatness' or whether or not he's a solid radio programmer. just passed on some factual info. That's what discussion boards are for! We discuss. 1st. Amendment, etc.

Added- Last, anyone can say whatever they want about me, as long as it is true. Knock yourself out!

Actually, I was referring to the PAYOLA statement, and not the orientation comments. (by the way, pink shirts don't make a person 'gay')... very mature.

None of the story on Del Rio is correct. And Rick Stewart left the building in March.
