Tom Leykis booted from SF

Drivin in to work tonite 4/24 around 11:12 PM Tom was on Am1550. Is he gone or was this a mistake?

It was not a mistake, KYCY 1550 still does clear the Tom Leykis show.

The Oakland A's take priority, however if you listen late enough or if it is a day game, Leykis is still on.

As far as a live clearence from 3:00 p.. to 7:00 p.m. that is gone. Whatever time KYCY clears Leykis it still counts as an affiliate in S.F.

Well thast just it, the original post stated that Tom leykis was taken off the air because its contract with WW1 or was it CBS was at an end. So was radiogurl mistaken?

leykis hasnt been live for a while now and I know the A's take precedent.
 
Radiogurl WAS mistaken but only because somebody higher provided inaccurate information.
 
Leykis booted from SF makes my heart sing. It also reaffirms my belief that the people in SF are way smarter than LA...

There's actually scientific proof of that. If you drive to LA via I5, your IQ drops I-5 points as you drive over the Grapevine.
 
answering super radio fan------------------JOhn and Ken were on ksfo following Michael Savage---7p-10p the thinking at the time was that since ksfo was kind of like kfi, John and Ken might do well. But the diehard right wingers did not dig the light weight nature of John and Ken's schtick--at its core ksfo's success has always been attributed to the fact that it took itself seriously as the only voice of conservatism in a sea of liberal swine in the Bay Area.

When they lost Savage, they lost their exclusivity but have still survived with decent ratings.
