I think most Chicago radio listeners of a certain vintage automatically think of Tommy Edwards as "sidekick". In fact, his body of work in front of, as well as behind, the microphone compares very favorably with that of his longtime Hall of Fame partner, Larry Lujack. Here's wishing "Lil' Tommy" a long and happy retirement!

Agreed. Most people don't know that he was PD at WLS and hired Bob Sirott, Yvonne Daniels & Steve King among others. His body of on & off the air work was extensive.

And don't forget, Tommy Edwards started as a DJ in New York City in around 1969 or 1970 when he was on WOR-FM before he came to Chicago at WLS.

That's right--and before he was at WOR-FM he was at WEAM in Washington and was on the air in Topeka, Ks originally.
