This board has been too quiet. I will see if I can jump start it. Is anything happening in my old stomping grounds of the Albany area and Brunswick?

Your name sounds familiar Rick. Did you work at K Country from 1990-1994? That was the time I was in Albany at WALB and Fox.
I can tell you that the stations in Macon all sound like dog squeeze

I was there off and on from 1979-83 and from 1985 to 92. 1990-91 was at WGPC.

Yes, I am one of them, as I thought I made clear in the post. I have a handle on this forum, but I don't hide behind it. I'm the PD of WPEZ. It ain't a classical station, so yes, we do actually process the audio a little, since we have to have a competitive signal in the market.
Yeah, being able to take a station from coast to coast is nice, but they still generally sound like "dog-squeeze", as you so eloquently put it.
Judging from your response, you are aware that PEZ sounds like crap. So the question is, why do you not do anything about it? When someone does not have the answers they usually go into the name-calling/attack mode. I did not attack you personally, I said Macon stations as a whole sounded terrible. However the saying goes "the hit dog yelps". You yelped.Oh, and if you'd like the help, I can Google a good audiologist for you. It might be time for a hearing exam.

Yes, I left Fox 31 just before you got there. You replaced my Brother-in-law Yukon Ron. He left there and went to South Carolina. I left to go to Cool 103.7.

He's a great engineer. I don't now how he kept the Fox 31 transmitter going, it was a bit cantankerous. I didn't realize that Atlanta has a new signal. Who owns it?
