Too Week Notice - Thanks JD!

I think the show was MUCH better today. JD had calmed down and gotten his "sea legs" or "radio brain." :D :D He was not as needy, more confident, and comfortable with making small technical errors and poking fun at himself. I did enjoy the return of Mohan's Blow Out the Phones, and once the listeners get the idea, it will improve and be fun. I'm much more hopeful after today's show.

It was A LITTLE better today as expected. It will never be anywhere as good as Crummey. JD just doesn't have it in him. It sounded like a good idea, but was a terrible mistake.

Why would it? He isn't holding a job of public trust.

So in another words, it makes no difference if a show host on one of the biggest news/talk stations in one of the largest American cities is a convicted felon?

Interesting…
I seem to remember from his biography that Larry King (who at that time was a radio host-no TV) was a convicted felon. He did alright.

Source?

I find no evidence of this claim, other than an un-substantiated tidbit about how he (King) was charged with grand larceny (which lead to him going "off the air" for three years) but the larceny charge was dropped, and he pleaded "no contest" to check bouncing…

…bankruptcy != felony conviction.

Actually, I meant to say "charged" with a felony, but I didn't and I own up to that. Larry King, as he retold the story, took the charges quite seriously and was ashamed, and the guy he was charged with stealing/embezzling (I honestly don't remember how the story goes) let Larry settle up or something, Anyway, it kind of changed King for the better. As far felons on the radio, LOL, stuff happens. Sometimes people are guilty, sometimes they're not. G. Gordon Liddy had a very entertaining talk show and some of the entertainment value came from stories of his days in prison. My point was, I couldn't see why Waugh was making such a big deal about J.D. being unvestigated. Who hasn't been investigated?

Ah, yes, G Gordon Liddy, convicted felon, and one who thought so little of the Constitution that he volunteered to perform assassinations of reporters and other facilities housing those who wrote negatively of his boss…

…but I will grant that the good friend of Mr. Al Franken puts on a more entertaining brand of show than most all of the talking heads behind the microphones at Valley studios…

With it now a little over a week since he took to the air, how about we get
(figuratively speaking) a little side bet going on when J.D. Wafflesworth
will take his first "well-deserved" day off from his show.

I'm guessing May 25, the Friday before Memorial Day (and he'll no doubt
take the holiday off too).

That conjecture pool sounds every bit as exciting as the 1440 log you guys have going.
