TOP SEATTLE STATIONS IN JUNE

if 35-64 was still a viable demographic???
What are you talking about?
This thirty year span is where the bulk of the population now resides. Baby Boomers!!

Replace "viable" with "saleable" and the quote instantly becomes valid.

KJR is NOT an Oldies station. It falls into the old definition of Classic Hits, Rock based, not hit based. A 70s leaning, hit based station(now called Classic Hits)isn't Oldies either. An Oldies station is a hit based, mostly '60s station that would still be around if 35-64 was still a viable demographic.

Guess what. Even Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen and The Beatles were considered Top 40 at a time.

You're right, KJR-FM is a Chronologically-Challenged, Hit-Driven Mainstream Top 40 Station that is merely uber-conservative on the currents. In fact, "Her Diamonds" is pegged for an add on June 10, 2032.

35-64 is very sales friendly. We are half way through the year and the top billing stations in Seattle are (In order)
KMPS
KIRO
KZOK
KOMO
KRWM
KPLZ

These stations are also your top stations 35-64 in respective demos. At the agency level 25-54 is the gold standard, but for local direct it actually leans 35-64 as the above suggest.
