Saw something funny in a blog today, about Newspapers and Radio business models. It said that by now most newspapers have faced the fact that there is no going back, that their distribution will be multiplatform and referred to the denial by past management as them being "Dead Tree Huggers". It went on to say something like in Radio there are still plenty of "Tower Huggers" who think we are just in a recession, and that growth will come back.
Since we know that there is NO MEANINGFUL INVESTMENT in multiplatform distribution, regardless of what we may think or know as individuals, would you all agree that for the most part, our industry is still run entirely for the TOWER HUGGERS? That they are just squeezing out the last nickles before the fire sale? I think so.
Also, I forgot where the Blog was, so if someone knows and would like to give credit that would be nice.
