Buck and Kincade already beat out The Bottom Line once, why go back and do that again?
I think it is clear that since Cellini joined the Morning Show, they have had a decline in ratings.
That can mean one of many things.
Either Cellini just does not mix well with the Bell, Steak grouping or the audience does not really like Cellini that much.
I would agree that 790 should just target either Buck or Kincade or the whole show.
I don't think that 680 is really that strong, just that 790 has really messed things up with that whole urban branding.
The Stews still do amazingly well to their target audience, but it is as if 790 is waving the white flag and giving 680 everything north of 285 in afternoon drive! That makes no sense.
I think that if Bottom Line was put back where it was successful, the 10-1 slot and then the Stews went back to the 1-4 slot, 790 would easily win the battle once again.
How about this idea. Mayhem pared down to a Steak, Bell and someone else pairing from 6-10, Bottom Line returns from 10-1, Oliver and Chernoff go Southern Comfort from 1-4 and Buck and Kincade or just Kincade from 4-7pm.
I think the Dickey's would find 680 back as an all news station within 2 ratings books.
