TV Show Cancellation Thread (including ending ones)

Good question. It was one of the reasons I still subscribe to Peacock.

What I think some of the content providers, from Netflix to Hulu to Peacock to Paramount+, don't get is that there is an aggregate set of shows that make us stay subscribed. It's not one show, but a set of them that, together, give us a reason to pay nearly $20 a month for each service. If you take away enough of the pieces that each subscriber likes, the whole reason to subscribe goes away.

I think those providers spend a lot of time an money researching each show individually, but not enough on the (I'll use the word again) aggregate combination of offerings that make a service worth paying for.
 
DOND Island sucked anyway. I thought it was a dumb show, and the original DOND (with Howie) was already a dumb show with a zillion gimmicks added to it over the years. It took them putting five $1,000,000 cases to finally get a $1,000,000 winner. Likewise, the UK version never did that and gave away the £250,000 prize nine times. NBC should have used Noel Edmunds' show as inspiration. The players and families weren't crazy screaming goons for the most part either...
 
Not exactly sure where to put this but WHO 13 News at 9 on Fox 17 is ending and will only air on streaming starting January 1, 2026.

Starting January 1, 2026 WHO 13 News at 9 will be replaced by KCCI 8 News at 9. The rebroadcast of WHO 13 News at 9 at 3:30am is being replaced by another episode of The People's Court.
