Two Guys Names Chris - Syndicated

Well I know of two CC stations that I would love to see the morning shows dumped and replaced. 99.5 & 100.3. Both are tired and have their best years behind them. Plus it would be great to see Murphy on his keister after Bob and the crew destroy them in the ratings.

Yeah...that Bob & Showgram would work SOOOOOO well on MAG and VBZ

And we saw that music is not really an issue with a syndicated show. JB&B came to WHSL when it was country and stayed on through the format change so dont tell me it isnt possible.

The Showgram on 100-3 would work; but not on 99-5. Because of the fact (even though they have REALLY toned it down since the late 90's/early 00's) they are a bit too rude, crude, and 'in-yo-face' for an AC station.

Being a LONNNNNNNNG time listener of them, I will have to respectively disagree with you. And werent JB&B on nothing but Rock stations when they invaded the country market in Gboro???

just my 2Cents

JB&B are a different animal. #1, they are rednecks...#2, most everyone in NC knows who they are. That's not the case with Bob. There's no way in hell it would work on WMAG or WVBZ

You can't put a CHR morning show on a rock station of ANY kind.

What are you talking about? Bob and the Showgram "barely" fit CHR in the first place. Yes--G105 as a CHR station moves and grooves to that morning show, but the show still barely fits the station.

Bob and the Showgram isn't syndicating; there's too much local content. Besides, currently G105 can be heard in much of the triad.

Other than the bits and pieces I've heard, their numbers are still high but not as high as they were five or ten years ago. Can't blame them anyway.

That show's really slumped in the last five years to a four-hour constant self-indulgent talkshow. One word fits: Boring. Listening to three people for half an hour a couple of weeks ago talking about how Bob doesn't cry isn't my idea of entertainment. Thing is, they have a good show in theory--just too meaningless and self indulgent. I feel like I loose braincells listening, and that's not good.

I *hate* filler, meaningless content from radio jocks on the radio. Like half the messages on this message board [mine included, I'm sure,] most of what people on the radio have to say is an absolute waste of time. All you need to do is tell us the last four or five songs on, give us the weather, and simply be quiet. The only person to do that in the last two years was Josh Zack on WRVA.

It's "entertainment." Radio isn't supposed to be designed to meet productivity goals, except'n if you're a beancounter.
By definition entertainment is "a waste of time."
The "education" part of radio never seemed to be really successful, overall, maybe that's why they abandoned it? ;)

I understand, but there's a difference between entertainment and complete bordom. This particular show rarely has anything "entertaining" to offer, IMO.

Ten years ago, radio and this particular show were entertaining. Now.......not so much.

G105 can be hard in much of the Triad...that's true. But do you tink the P1s for the Buzzard and WMAG have G105 on the presets???? Not likely.

G105 can be Hard! Yeah They are HARD OK.. No Nobody has them on presets.. GOD Toby Arnold, Where are ya when I need ya!!

I don't know, BS1012, you're not a young chick 12-24 are you?
That seems to be the audience the Showgram is geared toward.
I know, it don't seem that entertaining to me either, people talking about other people's love lives or [EDIT]or whatever else they have come up with the last couple years. At least back in the old days they use to throw some music in there once in a while. ;)
