You would be wise to stay as far away from that "disagreement" as possible. And I have screenshot your comments to the other chief.
Trust me on that one.

Mr tejano lost as usual .. not your fightYou would be wise to stay as far away from that "disagreement" as possible.

I am away from it đ. Just saying since I have gotten messages on unwanted Facebook messagesYou would be wise to stay as far away from that "disagreement" as possible.

This is an occasional occurrence when a station sees an application for an area outside the protected contour which might cause a loss of audience. If they can get enough complaints, the FCC will not allow the proposed operation even if it is outside the protected area, as long as a minimum number of complaints are registered.KFNC has been running a promo for a âspecial opportunityâ for anyone who âlives, works, or drivesâ in zip codes 77469, 77477, 77478, and 77479. All of these zip codes are in northeastern Fort Bend County. Promo doesnât explain any further. Any ideas on what this is about? Thought occurred to me that they are checking signal viability there? Perhaps another simulcast?
I have no real idea what is going on with this, but rather curious.![]()
Audio quality on the 92.5 translator is crummy...usually tinny sound, uneven audio levels, and excessive modulation bandwidth causes sibilance splatter. Also a money drain for Gow.
Not typical in a market the size of Houston, unless there an âAct of Godâ.There's a station in my area that was broadcasting dead air a few minutes ago but will most likely come back soon, it happens a lot.
The 97.5 signal is terrible. It is the farthest of the eastern rimshots, and in much of the Houston market that is a ten mile difference from the closer Devers sticks...which can make a big impact on a marginal signal. 97.5 also constantly gets shredded by tropo from KWTX and KFTX...sometimes KFNC is absolutely unlistenable at my Cy-Fair location due to all the interference.
FM range does not increase with modulation...but distortion does!!The reason they have the modulation that high is, I was told, to maximize 92.5's coverage. It's a translator so they're trying to blast it as far as they can... I suggested they use Stereo Tool, but not sure if they listened because no reply.
Maybe so, but it is five miles further from Downtown. Because of 97.5's tower being further south it also performs worse in the northern and western suburbs.97.5 is no farther from Sr Road than 103.7, 98.5 107.9 and 100.3. They are all on an arc 62.5 miles (iirc) away from the MO City sticks.
That was the point of my earlier post. Doesn't matter how far the eastern rimshots are from the MC sticks, but how far they are from the actual listeners. In northwest Harris County the KFNC stick is ten miles farther than the other rimshots. And KFNC has lots of problems with tropo from KWTX and KFTX which can shred the signal when conditions are right (which is most of the time during warmer weather.)Maybe so, but it is five miles further from Downtown. Because of 97.5's tower being further south it also performs worse in the northern and western suburbs.
I know... I believe they might be reading this board so maybe they'll fix it. There are low cost or even free simple solutions if you don't wanna spend thousands on an Orban audio processor.FM range does not increase with modulation...but distortion does!!
However, 100% FM modulation is an arbitrary point. The greatest point of distortion comes from exceeding consumer radio bandwidth.FM range does not increase with modulation...but distortion does!!
