Well FOX paid around $425 million for the station, and really another Spanish station would be too many. Spanish speaking people in the Chicago Metro area are about 11%. So that is not even a million people. Chicago has 11 commercial stations. (Not counting WJYS who's analog signal is too weak for most of Chicago)
So 11% of 11 station is 1.21. So proportionally having THREE full time, full power TV stations which are Spanish amounts to 27% of the commercial TV stations in Chicago are already Spanish. Could Chicago support yet another Spanish Station?
