Very Good KRTH "Lost Hits" Weekend

I have a preset on my radio for KRTH-HD2. It is a lot like the old KRTH where they have a narrow playlist heavy on Motown and the Beach Boys (I think I have heard 'Little Old Lady From Pasadena' 5 times so far). But the good news is that since they have no commercials, they do manage to go a little wider in scope. So I have heard some stuff that I have not heard for a long while. Of course, at this point, ANYTHING from the 50's and 60's I have not heard on the radio for a long while :)

However, what is starting to bug me is that they have a jingle or short announcement between EVERY song. Since they don't back announce, it is not really necessary to do that. I think they only do it because that is the way they used to run on the main channel their autmation system lets them.

If you listen to KKGO HD-3 when they are doing standards, they segue two or three together before an announcemetn. A lot easier on the ears.

No surprise here at all. You can't win.

They're doing another Lost Hits weekend again this weekend. Already heard a fairly obscure Rascals song I'd never heard before, at least on K-Earth.

Top 2001 of All Time Labor Day....C'mon K-Earth, do it!

All right! Thanks for the heads-up!

Now let me scooty my booty on over to the online stream... (sorry, couldn't pass that one up)
