"97.1 ZHT is sad to report that voiceover legend Brian James passed away from a heart attack this morning (3/6/09) at age 48. Altough 97.1 ZHT has featured a few different people as station voice over the years, Brian was "THE VOICE." No one ever lived up to the standards of who we like to now call "the king." We started out with Brian in 1999 and brought him back to serve as station voice until just a few years ago. Brian resided in Scottsdale, Arizona and is survived by his wife Kimberly, his son MAX, and stepdaughter Brooke. We will miss him dearly. We are however indebted to him for the major role he played as a part of building what is 97.1 ZHT today."
