So who are some of the voices on LA radio? Who does the liners for KRTH for instance??

There is an article in which Shotgun Tom Kelley, who was very successful as a voiceover talent in San Diego, talks about how it was impossible to get voiceover gigs in LA because LA talent buyers absolutely not want DJ's: they want voice actors. As the article says, "Don Elliot, a commercial veteran said that agents don't like untrained radio people on spots. “Most script direction on auditions specifically say, ‘No Radio-types,’"
Shots said it took him four years to finally break into it and that was only after getting formal instruction, hiring a voice coach and unlearning everything he'd done in a few decades of prior voiceover work.
