Wachs Does New York AM Drive

Look, I have never even heard the guy... but how can you criticize any one segment on a 4 hour show and make the claim the host is bombing? Have you attempted to create original, compelling content on a daily show? And, who is to say this topic was not interesting to a portion of the audience? Was it not relateable to the target listeners? I assume it was one of a dozen or more subjects he presented in one day? How is cooking a hamburger in NYC any less interesting than in Hoochieland, USA?
Wachs is BOMBING... he did a segment on how to cook a hamburger! In NYC, the Number 1 market in the country. Guess take away Eric, Southside, Tim Andrews, Tim Frasier, and all you have is Larry - a guy who ALWAYS thought he was the reason people listened.

I believe today there is supposed to be a follow-up on this segment; said he's gonna have some guy on today by the name of Wimpy - it IS Tuesday, after all...

HE IS CRAP

John Mainelli as a programmer whenever quoted in the paper or the trades, is constantly talking about his dislike of politics and religion in FM TALK, that stuff is for AM. EVERYDAY at some point I have heard Wachs whining with callers, arguing about being a jew, about Isreal and Palestine, it's just not hot talk. He is a bore and comes off as pretty self righteous a lot of the time in addition to thinking he is a lot more clever than he is. NO humor, none. I tried several times, the guy doing his solo thing is just unlistenable.

So let's see he might have 25 solo shows under his belt. I am sure Boortz and Hannnity were top notch talent after 25 shows also. I am not saying Larry is going to be great but give him a chance.

Ditto. He gets better every day.

I would hope so.

He certainly couldn't be any worse nor more unlistenable than he was during his time in Atlanta.

Your statement does not support the ratings. But opinions rarely do. Sorry.
