I think playlist needs to be a bit tighter and they need to stay away from anything that charted in the 80's but overall its a decent station. It's nice to have the WAKY call letters back in town and hear a few of the old jocks again. I can understand your passion for WRKA but Sister Theresa is not coming back.
Amen to that. If you wanna do Classic Hits, that's another story. But when you're trying to replicate a legend like WAKY, at least stay true to the era when WAKY had it's heyday. I'm waiting for WKLO to come back on FM & resurrect one of America's great top 40 battles. And yes, WKLO (a station I contract with) is in the Paoli/Corydon market, but just about any call sign is for sale at the right price.WHOKILLEDRADIO said:and they need to stay away from anything that charted in the 80's
I'm in an area (Corydon) where I can hear both WAKY and WKLO (96.9). It would be nice to have the rivalry back but that ain't gonna happen either, unless stations get cutback to the point where they can't make enough profit for these greedy companies and they totally get out of the radio biz. I'm very thankful WAKY is back, and its easy to be critical, but even a bad day with WAKY is better than a good day with corporate junk.BobOnTheJob said:Amen to that.
