Walton and Johnson coming to Austin?

Rumor had it that Clear Channel is bringing the Walton and Johnson showroom Austin. Anybody want to predict where it might go? I have a idea......

I see that on their web site that they are coming to Austin soon. They better be prepared to play more commercials than normal in the morning also if it is going to be on KVET.
 
Yuck. I feel sorry for Austin that these no talent a$$ clowns are going to pollute the capital city's airwaves.
 
Now that CC has gotten into the FM translator game, there's nothing that says they can't split 103.1 away from KVET-AM and program it independently via an HD subchannel like Emmis programs 102.7.
 
The comedy translator maybe? I just don't see them winding up on KVET. Bender just got here a short time ago and Bob, I would hope, would be allowed to give a "real" goodbye instead of being dumped. But, yes, I'm aware we're dealing with CC.
 
Shoot, if it suits them, they'll dump Bob and do what a lot of stations do, pretend he never even existed, and sure won't thank him for what he did for that station, remember this is CC we're talking about....
 
I know it is a long shot but Walton and Johnson would probally do mornings on KLBJ 93.7 FM. My second guess would be on KVET-AM Translator 103.1 since they are on Sports Radio in Dallas. They seem to broadcast on Sports radio, and Rock radio.

Since KVET is owned by Clear Channel, like KKRW in Houston that more likely makes it my first guess rather than my second guess.
 
98.9? I don't see them on the true oldies station. Doesn't seem like a good fit. Their AQH numbers are up -- beating KGSR, among others -- and they're local there right now with Bo. Of course, who knows ...
 
looking at thier website , the stations that are affilates of thiers are mostly rock, classic rock and one sports radio. which stations have in austin have low ratings and or slipping:

could be programmed 103.1 independtly from kvet am
