WAMO FM Has New Morning Show

"When you take a cheap shot like that at someone for something that happened more than two decades ago,"

Even though the Playboy nude pictorial spread on "The Women of Radio" was a publicity stunt from some time back, she still includes photographs of those same attributes prominently displayed on her radio station's website right now. So, to note that those qualities that were displayed in Playboy a few decades back have retained most of their quality now, as amply demonstrated on her station's current website, is still not a character assasination.

Given how many people have made the point in the local vs. syndicated thread about DJ's local appearances and other publicity, I think Ms. DeCarlo has demonstrated that she made the decision to use her talents in such a way as to improve her public image.

Just saw the pictures, Realist. You're comparing apples to oranges. Because I consider Chris a friend, I'm no longer going to be a part of this discussion (at least not without her present) unless we get back to the subject at hand. This level of conversation is getting unprofessional and I won't be a part of it.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

More like apples to melons.

Sorry, that was too good of a straight line to pass up.

As for being "unprofessional", it's as professional as many of the jokes that Steve Harvey tells on the air. (Which also brings this thread totally back on topic.)

Time will tell on the Steve Harvey show. It would be nice to see a morning show on an Urban station gain some momentum in this town.

Playboy is the only reason anyone knows who Chris DeCarlo is.

I said Joe Fenn was terrible on 3WS. That's an opinion about his radio work. You jumped in and protested because he's a friend of yours. That has nothing to do with his radio work.

So who's bending the criteria here?

I think the Joe Fenn on KQV reading the news is miles ahead of Joe's 3WS work. But that's just me.

And, yes, but for the attendant publicity from Playboy, I wouldn't have a clue who DeCarlo is (in fact, I thought at first she was somehow related to Bob).

I went back a few pages to the list of "great" radio people in Pittsburgh, and noticed that Clark Race, Bob Tracey, Sterling Yates, and almost every other DJ who worked KDKA except Rege Cordic is conspicuous by their absence.
