Hi there folks. I'd love to get a hold of some airchecks of WTUE in Dayton during their top forty days, 1971 through 1975. They were just an awesome sounding station, and one of the few FM stations to broadcast in quad. Though Dayton was a much smaller radio market than Columbus where I lived at the time, I always thought that WTUE had a much better, bigger, more professional big city sound than either WCOL or WNCI in Columbus at the time. I would just love to get my hands on some Greg Mason, Al Morgan, Shaun McKay, Dave Michaels and Bawana Johnny airchecks from that time period. I do have one July 1973 aircheck of the station which I found on the reel top forty repository website but I would love to get some more airchecks of this truly AWESOME SOUNDING station. From February through May of 1974, I was attending a broadcasting school in nearby Ketterring, and I did record some of WTUE myself. Unfortunately though, all I had at the time was a portable radio and a mono Sony TC105 four-track mono reel-to-reel recorder, so my recordings were not made in stereo which is a real shame. Anyway, if anyone can help me, please either reply to this message or send along a private message. I just loved that WTUE top of the hour ID with that echoed "music power power power power" going from channel to channel, and apparently it was even more amazing in quad.
