There are just too many issues with this station:
1 - Their signal is extremely weak east of charlotte. Too much static..
2 - No reception at night
3 - Mornings is mostly right wing talk
I have problems with WAVO on the West Side of Charlotte. To alleviate this, I purchased a ''Terk Advantage'' Indoor AM Antenna. This is a Tunable Antenna. You Tune this Antenna to the Frequency you're trying to pick up. Then, you turn this Antenna until the static gets nulled out. Without this Antenna, I get a S1 on WAVO. After Switching to this Antenna, I get a S4.5 out of 5. And, I might add: that's sitting less than 6 feet from a High Performance Computer. Pretty Impressive for those who can't make their own Longwire Antenna. Steve.

There's plenty of classic rock to go around, now that W-LKO is included in the mix.
The trouble is WRHI is the station that serves Rock Hill. Otherwise they might be doing much better.Steve.Gates said:hschutte said:What also amazes me is when I was wanting to hear some standards yesterday afternoon, it turned out to be sports.. Come on... AM Radio Stations are long known for their love of Sports, particularly when it's Local. They feel obligated to ''give back'' to the Community they Serve. This includes College Sports and right down even to High School Sports. Perhaps that is what happened when you tuned in. Steve.
