Especially if they consider a WTIX simulcast. I thought Memories 1280 was actually playing the softer side of oldies, but I didn't like hearing those songs anyway. I'm hoping they get lots of complaints about that.I just listened to 1280 streaming online with Bad Company playing. Wow..1280's WSAT format has changed. Sounds more like classic hits. I wonder how long they will last. Classic Rock on AM doesnt sound right. Well I guess it's good news for WAVO for 1 more year.
WAVO did meet its goal for staying on the air by September 30, but (I assume) not for streaming. I listened when I was closer to Charlotte and heard this twice. They raised $500 more than what they needed.I just listened to 1280 streaming online with Bad Company playing. Wow..1280's WSAT format has changed. Sounds more like classic hits. They had to put the WTIX letters somewhere. Those are legendary if you live in New Orleans.Heard a rumor yesterday that the fellow that bought WSAT and WSTP in Salisbury is in the process of buying 1410 in Concord. Still think they made a mistake changing the calls from WEGO but it is what it is...
I am guessing GHB is slowly being sold away. Wonder how long they hold onto WAVO?

Station IDs confirm this has happened. Not the sale, but the simulcast. The person that told me about the possible sale also told me that they had 1410 on one of their vehicles. At first I thought he may have gotten confused since they also own 1490. It is official now anyways. They filed an application with the FCC to buy the station.

That's what the man was talking about. I couldn't hear clearly. That's not a signal problem, but just the poor receiver in my car.I heard their antenna was down from one of the storms recently. They are back on the air.
And all I needed was to be closer to Charlotte (which, by definition, is closer to Rock Hill). I heard the words loud and clear. That's what the man was talking about. I couldn't hear clearly. That's not a signal problem, but just the poor receiver in my car.
I wondered what would happen if they didn't meet the goal.Their money drive has been extended until September 9th. Looks like they didn't reach their goal on 8/31.
