Wayne, Pete, and Kimmer

So no one really knows...is the Kimmer, Pete and Wayne No Offense returning? Where?

I, for one, really miss them in the afternoons! I gotta go you're killing me.

I’d love to hear them back in PM drive, but this whole thing is kinda weird. Since Kimmer still technically a Clear Channel employee they would have to come back on a Clear Channel station, but which one?

I spoke with the Kimmer today (he's playing golf in Florida). He said he's got a couple of potential jobs brewing in Atlanta but he can't say what they are. Plus, he has to make sure he can get out of his CCU contract if he does sign with someone else. He said he's having his agent handle all the sundry details. And yes, he'd love to work with Wayne and Pete again if he can. He said Wayne fiddled with the Web site. He doesn't know how to do any of that.

Rodney,

Even though Kimmer couldn't mention what his "potential deals" were, do YOU have and ideas where he and Pete and Wayne are likely to land? Let us know please.

OK let's speculate for the fun of it.

WSB - Replace Savage on that 7 - 10 p.m. slot? Intriguing possibility and would be damn fun to hear at night on that signal. They already have a local talk show from 10 - 2 so why night earlier in the night.

WGKA - Right now they are all syndicated but if they think the time is right to make a move on 640 it could happen. From onme I can tell it does not seem like their business model to go local but the Kimmer like southside Steve does bring a pretty decent stable of advertisers.

Dave FM goes Talk -I highly doubt that I think their recent changes of firing Eric and Barnes(oops did I say Barnes and fired in the same sentence. As Nick Cellini and Chris Dimino would say "allegedly") have served them well and I expect Dave to continue on for sometime.

Thanks for the reply but your speculation and wondering does very little for answering my question!

Where is Kimmer and Team? Someone who knows - TELL US!

Oh sorry I didn't realize I was only allowed to respond to your message. I some how thought we were allowed to comment where we felt appropriate.

Oh OK... the guy was a May Rine. Suave. Takes a whilke for it to sink in, does it? I had an excellent Christmas. Yourself? No illusions atall.

Littlejohn, MSGT, retired

Well MSGT (retired), you had more patience than I. My hat is off to you, hell my hat is off even to th4e jarheads and squids......... ok even to the zoomies, but more so to an E-8 (whatever the branch of service). LOL you won't smack me if I say "Semperfi" to you will you?

Actually, was God's Great Air Farce (you, too, can wear the Green Fatigues). They taught me a trade I been selling to broadcasters for a long time. Marines have a problem, even the big chain broadcasters don't have room for too many professional killers.....
And I don't think I ever listened to Peterson - I'm sure I never did and knew that's who I was listening to. I associate 'talk radio' with Herb Jepko.. and it isn't a particularly entertaining association.

I don't think there's any NEWS here. Chris Krok is more likely to switch with Savage at WSB, and KP would probably take a pay cut if he went to WGKA---isn't he still under contract for several months with WGST? Dave FM, unfortunately, is probably going to stay the course.

Sidebar: Is there another major market in America in more need of an infusion of great radio talent than Atlanta?

After reading Rodney's recent blog about his conversation with the Kimmer, my guess is that he asked Wayne to take the previous comment off, as it appears nothing has been carved in stone yet, thus the "we'll be back" comments are probably a little premature.

It would make good $ense for GKA to give them afternoons. Kimmer and crew would be a great fit there, but I don’t see how it could happen for six months.
