Honestly, WRJM 67 going with MyNetwork TV isn't that much of a surprise. NewsCorp/Fox is supplying it at no charge, and most UPN/WB full-power stations only have the other 22 hours of programming to worry about. As a 5 million watt UHF on channel 67 (DT-48), profits are probably already pretty thin without going non-stop infomercials.
But if....IF what you say is true, and WBIH 29 has snagged The CW, then either one of three things is happening:
1)29 is getting bought by new owners
2)CBS/Time Warner really expects the Montgomery area to outgrow the cable only WBMY, or...
3)George Flinn has sold his soul to the devil, or similarly, hired Drew Rosenhaus to negotiate on his behalf.
Okay, I'm 'probably' kidding about #3, but the prospect of WBIH ever hooking up with one of the [soon-to-be] five major networks is just unthinkable. Or, with the pace that MyNetwork is signing affiliates, maybe The CW is just desperate to keep up...really desperate.<P ID="signature">______________
