WBIN cancels 10PM newscast

Who cares about Iowa. The lady anchor was not the most pretty nor very personable and the 10pm newscast could have been done better from NEC, Henniker. Its LOCAL that connects, wins, gets viewers, listeners, advertisers and votes!

It's difficult to watch WBIN on my cable system (Charter in central Massachusetts). The picture, on both the SD and HD channels, is so small with huge letterboxing on all four edges of the screen. I wonder if other cable systems do this too.

Plus, isn't it annoying how the station identifies itself as being on channel 18 when their virtual channel number over-the-air viewers will see is still 50 and I need to turn to 26 to see them?

WBIN's on channel 6 in my town [Comcast, but formerly Adelphia], with the HD feed on 703.

A minor thing, in light of cancelling the newscast, but they have tweeked the time of Al's forecast from the top of the hour to the last break in the show before the top of the hour. It makes it harder for people just tuning in for Al. He also seems much more animated lately but they still have problems with the camera cutting in and out.

From what I've seen of the station, that's way too much effort.
